About this property

Quiet Narrowsburg Getaway - Near Delaware River, Hiking Trails, & Private Lake

Tri-level home on 10 acres in Narrowsburg, NY. Escape the hectic world and surround yourself in nature. You will have total privacy, peace, and quiet on our very rural property. Our house is located on a quiet winding country road with free-range farm animals, lots of wildlife, and at the top of a long driveway. There are 4 sleeping areas (2 bedrooms, plus an office/sunroom with a twin daybed & a large family room with a queen sleep sofa) and three full baths. The main living area has a cathedral ceiling with a stone hearth. There are three balconies on the second floor. There’s a large backyard for relaxing with a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Rental includes access to private 70-acre Weiden Lake (just a short drive down the road) for paddleboarding, kayaking or fishing or swimming. The Delaware River (swimming, fishing, tubing, kayaking), Skinner's Falls, Tusten Mountain Trail (hiking) are also nearby. Two inflatable paddleboards included with rental. AWD vehicle is strongly recommended late fall/winter/spring due to steep gravel driveway. Despite the rural location, our home now features Spectrum high speed internet (300+ mbps) with a Google mesh router wifi system (on all 3 floors) and landline phone service. Please note: cell phone service is very spotty at the house and much of Sullivan Country, but you can use your cell phone at the house on wifi!

About the host

Hosted by Laura Wallace

Host profile image
We are a Brooklyn family who loves escaping the city for the quiet, peaceful nature in Narrowsburg. We enjoy slowing down on the weekends, watching wildlife, hiking, paddleboarding, swimming, fishing, running, and biking.

Why they chose this property

We love this area because it feels a bit removed from the world and takes us back to a time when things were slower, but is still an easy drive from our home in Brooklyn with all the amenities we need. We enjoy everything Sullivan County has to offer outdoors, visiting local farms, and enjoying the local farmer's markets.

What makes this property unique

It is in a super quiet rural area.
