Picton Has lots of lovely Cafes and Restaurants to enjoys some of Marlboroughs finest Wines. There are lots of winery tours to fill in a sunny afternoon. Take a water taxi to one of the wonderful lodges for lunch in the sounds and see the dolphins. There is a lot to do with the children down on the waterfront mini golf, merry go round, mini train rides, waterpark and playgrounds. Or just take the boat and enjoy the wonderful sounds fishing.

Great spot

We had a lovely stay at Gaylene’s. Check in was very easy and the spa was heated for us upon arrival. Everything we needed was there and the property is a quick walk to trails and into town.

Gorgeous home

We had such a fantastic stay here. Really well cared for and serviced property, great spaces from spa to bbq to front porch, close to a lovey walking track to Picton and had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Beautiful House with Cozy Setting

The house was very beautiful with nice and cozy internal setting. It was like a dream house we wanted to live in. We arrived at it quite late at night and left very early in the morning for the ferry to Wellington. So we regretted we didn't spend enough time to enjoy the stay. We ope we could come and stay there for longer time in the future.

This was such a lovely and inviting home. The beds were comfy, the house was immaculate, the decor was amazing, and the location was fantastic. Short drive to an amazing Thai food restaurant and a straight shot to the Interislander Ferry terminal. This house sat at the end of a street that then led right to a beautiful hike overlooking the town and down to a beautiful bay. Lots of trails for more hiking options and mountain biking. I would definitely recommend this property

A gem of a spot

What a beautiful home for our family weekend away! Beautifully presented with lots of interesting art to stir the soul! Clean tidy and well equipped with everything you could need. Gaylene was a fantastic host-super accomodating and really responsive! Thank you Gaylene! Location is wonderful, with lovely tracks very close by! Perfect place to stay!

A piece of paradise

This is your “home away from home”. Very inviting and relaxing home and garden backyard. Close to many trails and town. It was nice to settle into the backyard after a days hike around the area.

Huge private house in quiet neighborhood of Picton, walkway to Picton centre

We were living in Galene‘s private home, beautifully decorated and fully stocked. Everything was super clean and larger than expected. 4 bedrooms, great separate outdoor space with huge table and extra outdoor kitchen. Extra room with washer and dryer we happily used. Would book „Picton Paradise“again!

Livable, lovingly maintained family home

The home is moments away from town center in Picton. Right out the door are great hiking and mountain biking trails. The home is very livable, updated. Several outdoor living spaces are very inviting. The home is historic, well maintained and the art on the walls was unique and spectacular. Of all the places we stayed this was my personal favorite. We had a small hiccup with thinking that there was a hot tub, but it had just not been removed from the listing. In its place as a very nice outdoor kitchen.

Absolutely fantastic place in Picton

We only spent evenings and nights due to our trip being work-related, however, the place is fantastic to rest after 12 a conference and we all absolutely enjoyed it. The owners are very approachable and really easy to communicate with. Most importantly (work related) - the internet is very reliable and quick.

Home away from home
