About this property

Welcome to the "Downtowner". A truly inviting, enjoyable home away from home. This one bedroom suite with separate living room is located as part of a historic home built in 1901 in the town of Manteo with a little bit of everything for you to enjoy. This spacious property with its own porch and entrance. There is one queen size bed, a complete tile bathroom with a walk-in shower and a relaxing living room for watching a movie or catching up on emails. The coastal decor and tranquility of the garden will relax you the whole time you're here. The porch is located next to a spacious back yard with a folly for your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. There are lots of locally owned restaurants in the area for your dining pleasure. The unit's kitchenette consists of a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Downtown Manteo is home to Outer Banks Distillery, Ortegas Southwest Grill, The Avenue Grill, Olives, Poor Richards, Old Town Creamery, Front Porch, Charis Coffee Shop and The Pioneer Theater with a nightly showing at 8pm. Nearby is the Elizabeth II at Festival Park, the NC Aquarium, Elizabethan Gardens and The Lost Colony outdoor drama. Work trip

Stayed here while in town for work. Very nice place and well decorated. Comfy and warm cabin feel inside. Beautiful yard too.

The Downtowner

We love this place. The property is so well kept with a little area to sit on the porch. It has a separate bedroom from the living room and it’s so comfortable. It is a short walk down to the Manteo waterfront for food and shopping and right across the street from the Outer Banks Distillery.

That's my Mom, Roxie and I'm Patrick. Its been a real treat to get to have guests in our homes on the Outer Banks. This makes our 7th property and we still get excited to see the next group of guests and educate them on the area and what all it has to offer.
We own and operate the Dunes Restaurant in Nags Head. Dad, Rufus, mom, my brother and me all play an important role in the operation of that. I manage and bar tend at night and handle all inquires and most of the check ins.
In my spare time I love to go fishing and play on my boats. I look forward to hearing from you .
