We have developed a cosy, private, uniquely artistic cottage for you to enjoy. Created with wood and river stone, tiles and earth. Hundertwasser inspired Artistic tiling in the bathrooms really give this space an amazing feel. We are off grid for our power with solar and wetback hot water. We are away from the city lights - on clear nights the star cloaked sky invites your attention.
The perfect place to elope to or have a unique eco honeymoon. A hens night with your select friends, create a few days away to remember.
Enjoy organic coffee and milk, leaf tea and we supply a scrummy homemade continental breakfast . 4 burner gas cook top with full cooking equipment is supplied PLUS a gas bar b que AND an outside gas oven (pizza)
We are in the middle of everywhere - a cruisy 1.5 hour drive from Auckland Airport (traffic permitting!!), Hamilton, Tauranga and places in between. Get away from the bustle of town without going far.
We love our bush clad Coromandel Range, and burbling streams and rivers creating stunning private swimming adventures. The hidden magic of the Maratoto Valley is a 10 minute drive from the Hauraki Rail Trail at Hikutaia, great adventure mountain biking, or just a cruise. It is the perfect base to explore the Coromandel Peninsula and eastern Waikato (including Matamata and Hobbiton) by car. Half an hour from the well known Karangahake Gorge, 45 minutes to Kauaeranga Valley and the Pinnacles walk. 20-30 minutes to Paeroa or Thames’ service centers and great places to eat
We know the area well and can help plan your itinerary OR just sit back, relax and enjoy being here, for the best rest ever.
We love to host and live onsite for your convenience - we also respect your privacy and you determine the level of interaction.
Extras: Linen (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;

We were drawn here because it held the pieces of a new era for us. Raw but with potential, northfacing (Kiwi sunny site).
Water/streams/bush/rural/private yet close to the sort of infrastructure that we all interact with towns with interesting people and history.

Stare gaze at night, glow worms handy to the driveway.
Most people just love the peace. The quiet tranquil native forest outlook, the exclusivity of the booking, a place to just be. For the extra motivated there are rock climbs, bush walks and historic site exploring. Allow time to take away your busyness for a while, reflect and restore your wellbeing.
