About this property

Warm with fireplace, English country style, nice garden, Starlight De Heaven!

Starlight De Heaven is a fully self contained cosy two storey character cottage featuring three spacious private bedrooms with separate entrances, two private bathrooms and a spa bathtub. The upper floor has a wrap around deck with mountain and lake views, and there has fireplace that was mine favorite, also my guest's love! This is especially important in winter if you like to ski.

The house is located next to the pine forest (Cowans Hill Walkway) in a quiet part of the village away from the main highway. It is easy walking only 1000 meter distance to the lake, Church of the Good Shepherd and Lake Tekapo village.

Famous Mount Cook Hooker Valley is 1 hour 10 minutes away. You can see Tasman glaciers over there.

Also, It is a 17 minutes drive to Mount John observatory which has a full view over Lake Tekapo and is an excellent point to appreciate starlight. However they will charge you if you would like to go up there at night. Anywhere else is free to do stargazing though.

An absolute Disgrace /

This property is an absolute dump - it needs to taken off book a Bach immediately. We Arrived from a trip with my 2 teenagers from Akl - in the middle of winter - cold & tired To what looked like a crime scene- it hadn’t been cleaned - A disgrace - Nothing - mousetraps in the kitchen - bottles - dishes in the sink - Cold as anything - It was an absolute disgrace - Helen Liu should have all her listings removed -

The most horrible holiday place

We arrived at 4pm. Door was opened and someone came & mentioned he did not know about our checking in. He mentioned the place has not been cleaned and if we are not happy to find alternative. He does'nt care. I called owner who spoke to him and he mentioned we have to wait 1.5hours for him to clean up after telling us to find alternative. Owner found us alternative BUT we had to reload all luggages & stuff. This is very upsetting for all especially me who did all the bookings. How is it that we did not get any refund back re owner's fee, cleaning fee, etc. Please advise

Nice family house

Arrived late afternoon to found that the house was already occupied by other tenants however, after contacting the owner, she dealt with the issue and was resolved shortly after. Laundry floor needs urgent attention, tiles are loose. Lack of equipment in kitchen, excisting cooking utensils needs replacement due to rust. Overall, the cleanliness of the property and bedding was excellent. Excellent view over the lake and sufficient heating.
