Our 12 quaint properties are located in the heart of Grove with a country feel (an additional six cottages are currently under construction and will be completed by February, 2021). The quaint and clean cottages are backed by 15 private wooded acres on 1600 feet of Carey Bay waterfront. Feel free to roam! With six separate cottages available its the perfect place to bring friends and family yet have your own space. After a long day on the lake, head back to your cozy cottage where you can grill some hamburgers and relax around a fire. Every cottage was designed with the discerning traveler in mind - granite counter tops, completely equipped kitchen, full sized washer and dryer, bathroom with custom shower... the list goes on. All the comforts of home, just smaller. We also have parking for a boat with water and electrical hookups and an outdoor security system.
Lake time! It's just a short walk behind the cottages to the lake. Explore our woods and enjoy the lake views. The shoreline is kept clean and in its natural state, it's a great place to relax and soak up the sound of the water. Dock the boat just a mile away at The Wolf Creek Park and Boating Facility, a top of the line fishing facility. Professional anglers come from all over the US to fish at Wolf Creek. They offer fishing tournaments and family events year round. Enjoy the other fun activities our area has to offer like various water sports, golfing, the state park, Har-ber Village, and Lendonwood Gardens, to name a few. If you don't mind a bit of a drive, tour Crystal Bridges Museum located an hour away but well worth it.
Amenities at the cottages include WiFi, washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen with cookware and dishes, coffee maker, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, Smart TV, beach towels, linens, and grill. Our area is very safe, but we have installed an outdoor surveillance system as extra security for our guests and their property.
The natural beauty of the lake and it's surroundings, along with the small town atmosphere are part of what we love so much about Grand Lake. We hope you enjoy your stay and love it here as much as we do!

My son and I had the best time. It was perfect size for both of us. The proximity to everything we had to do was great! We want to come back again when we don’t have a baseball tournament! Really was a nice place. Bed was comfortable and I’m a fussy sleeper! It was so fun! Thank you!
Hosts were very accommodating and responded very quickly to any questions. Place is perfect for our family of 5 and is a short walk from the lake where you have options to kayak and swim. Would absolutely use again if in the area.
Thank you so much for a great weekend! The cottages were great! You thought of everything needed to cook at the cottage. We had enough space for our families and the location to the lake was so convenient. The extras for the lake exceeded out expectations. We hope to be back next year.
We were looking for a place to relax and unwind and this fit the bill.

Paradise in January
I had to work in Grove, it’s almost a two hour drive from Tulsa so I decided it was advantageous to find a hotel in Grove. Driving out to the golf course. We passed right by Carey Bay Cottages. We jumped on line made one call and booked a weekend on the lake in the middle of Winter. The Cottages are Amazing. Fully stocked 1.0 miles away from town out in the country a hundred yards from the Lake. Let me talk
About the Mattress and a great new gut sleep we got. We booked the same cottage two weeks from now. Can’t Wait !

Perfect Vacation Cottage
Great experience staying at Carey Bay Cottages. They are a gem! We planned this location on short notice. First we were going to Hawaii for our anniversary but COVID canceled that. Then we were going to Colorado but a wildfire cancelled that. When looking for third choice I happened upon Carey Bay Cottages on VRBO and knew that’s where we wanted to go, if it was drivable. It was and what a good decision. I booked through Herb directly. Herb and Lindsay are hands-down the best people to rent a cottage from. They have thought of everything. The beds were nice and cozy, stocked kitchen, terrific bathroom. Everything was extra clean. Having the washer and dryer was very helpful after being out on the lake. The walk to the lake is a quick few minutes through beautiful woods. We used the kayaks on three different occasions. We will enjoy returning to this lovely, relaxing area. It was fun to have a fire pit outside to roast marshmallows on after a day on the lake. Having the porch to eat dinner outside was perfect. Oklahoma is a beautiful state and the foothills of the Ozarks was beautiful scenery.
Newly renovated, beautiful. Quiet, easy lake access, Excellent communication with the owners. Highly recommended for a simple weekend getaway.

Disliked: Location
Disappointing
This property is new making it very pretty and clean. However, we thought it was a terrible location. We felt in cabin E that the back view was simply depressing, And the location of the air conditioner blew hot air on you if you tried to sit out there. Too expensive for the location. There are kayaks available but the way to the water is a ways then it’s muddy and nasty.

Quinda, while we appreciate you taking the time to review, we are surprised at your assessment. Also, we are so sorry we were not able to accommodate your request for a last minute cancellation due to a conflict with your sons work situation. We sincerely hope that did not come into play with your review. We absolutely LOVE our trees and the natural beauty of the property and will leave it “as is” as much as possible. Our lakebed is made up of rock and dirt so it may be muddy at the edge- nothing “nasty” about it- it’s a lake and a peaceful, quiet cove shoreline (we would love to have sand as at the ocean!). Our 100 yard, flat path to the lake may seem too far to some I suppose. The air conditioner blowing hot air is something we will look into for improved comfort on the back patio. We have had many comment on the great value of our property and feel it is completely fair. We are sorry for your disappointment and wish you well.
Nice property that was very clean and new. Great for our family of 4. Enjoyed the back yard and fire pit. Lake access was a little smaller than expected but still convenient.
My husband and myself with our teenage son and his friend spent several days here. The cottage was precious. We had everything we needed. Both bedrooms had very comfortable King sized beds. The cottages are almost brand new with relaxing decor. The patio was nice with a table, grill and a place to hang the provided hammock. The boys enjoyed fishing from the kayaks that are also provided. Herb and Lindsey were extremely easy to work with and very helpful in helping us find a place to rent a pontoon boat for a few hours out on the lake. Any questions I had were answered within a minute or two of asking. Thanks guys for a very nice get away. I would highly recommend one of these cottages.

Thanks so much! You all were wonderful guests, and we would love to have you back anytime!
For the past 30 years we’ve called Grove home, raising our three children in this beautiful corner of Oklahoma.
Herb is a Builder and Endless Dreamer who wanted to create a memory-making property for vacationers coming to Grand Lake.
Lindsey is a Registered Nurse and Overthinker who now manages Herb’s dreams (and the properties).
We’re avid travelers, and while we’ve explored many incredible places and seen wonderful sights, there’s nothing quite like crossing Sailboat Bridge and coming HOME.
We hope to bring the best of what we’ve learned to your stay at our properties. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to host you!
