Among other Cafes, the earliest one open is 2KF Espresso in Bungan street opens Mon-Sat at 4.40am - 2pm. Sunday 5.30am - 2pm.
Another favourite of ours is Cafe Monaka only 8min. walk from The Waratah House. Open Mon-Sat 8am-3pm. Kitchen open til 2.30pm.
TRANSPORT:
The B-Line bus (modern yellow double decker bus) is a 10 min. walk from The Waratah House and a high-frequency bus route that runs from Mona Vale to Wynyard Station - CBD. Turn up and go service.
OR you can book a Keoride with the app to get picked up from The Waratah House and dropped off to the nearest B-Line bus stop.
10min walk to the 199 Bus to take you to Manly OR Palm Beach. Take the Ferry from Manly to Circular Quay - Opera House. From there Ferries go to Taronga Zoo, Luna Park, Darling Harbour etc.
155 Bus stop 2 min. walk from The Waratah House.
Mona Vale beach is a short 5 min drive by car with a new Surf Life Saving Club Cafe and Restaurant.

Bobbin Head is a great place for a family picnic and very popular is the West Head lookout.

Pittwater bay/Bayview:
Is a wide inlet to the south of Broken Bay and the entrance of the Hawkesbury River into it. Located some 30 kms north of Sydney, it is a boatowner's paradise.

25min. drive from The Waratah House to the carpark. Barrenjoey Lighthouse sits at Sydney’s most northern point – Barrenjoey Head at Palm Beach. A short bush walk and amazing view over Palm Beach and whale watching in Winter and early Spring.
Bring: Drinking water, hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, clothes for all weather conditions.
Narrabeen Lagoon:
The Narrabeen lagoon trail is an easy 8.4km loop on a well formed, shared track without steps. You can walk 🚶♀️🚶♀️ or ride🚲🚲 the loop trail or hire a kayak.
There are some bike hire places near the lagoon and also cafes, restaurants and playgrounds along the walk.
Bayview Golf Club ⛳- walking distance from The Waratah House and Mona Vale Golf Club ⛳a short drive but you can also walk.
Mountain biking 🚵 🚵🏼♀️ :
Manly Dam Mountain Bike Trail, Bare Creek Bike Park, JJ Melbourne Hills Memorial Reserve, Wyatt Avenue Bike park for Kids to improve their skills etc..

Clean BBQ if used during stay - BBQ cleaning wipes & brush is provided (BBQ wipes in draw under the cutlery draw). Extra cleaning fee applies if BBQ not clean!
Turn all heaters, fans, air-condition and lights off before you leave.
