About the host

Host profile image

John's an active club DJ, pyrotechnician with a license to thrill (with fireworks😉). He also is a busy guy, working full-time in Markham with entertainers in the cable/connector industry.

Lorraine's a former educator 😎, enjoying an encore career providing empowerment coaching and healing. She's comfortable having a solution-focused conversation, guiding a past life exploration, doing Tai Chi, pulling some cards for a reading, authoring her next non-fiction book, even conjuring something unique with her knitting needles 😀.

Why they chose this property

We love our small town Ontario easy-going lifestyle. Without traffic jams, long line-ups, hustle or bustle.

Stirling, known as the Hub of Hastings County, is only a few minutes from wineries, breweries, beaches, markets, tourist attractions, trails, parks, festivals, and fairs.

If you're called to ski, the Batawa Ski Hill is nearby.

Is golf in your future? Choose from Black Bear Ridge, Bay of Quinte, Trillium Woods, Oak Hills, or one of the other 18 courses to play a round. No matter your preference, we've found that there's always somewhere to play - summer or winter!

...Or, disconnect from it all, simply enjoy watching the birds and the frolicking squirrels in the private forest that is our backyard. Priceless!

What makes this property unique

We're a five-minute walk from the famous Stirling theatre, restaurants, boutiques, the covered bridge, etc. Yet, this is a private oasis with a fire pit and backyard forest.

Our retreat for two has playful sports amenities at the park next door, including tennis, soccer, and basketball. We're also steps away from babbling brook sounds of the Rawdon River.

This property offers a truly one-of-a-kind experience!
