Great couples getaway!

This is such a nice little place, and a great value stay at our favorite beach. The kitchen is well-equipped for a beach place. We loved the decor! There are two bunk beds in the hallway, so you could bring children, but they are almost cruise line bunks. The bedroom is a little tight, but the queen bed is very comfortable. The design is thoughtful, so that this apartment on the second floor, furthest from the beach, still has an excellent view of the sea and is also a nice place to watch most of the sunset (the balcony is kind of cramped, but once you settle in, there will probably be a nice breeze.) The pool is very nice and the gym is better than you would expect. We ate at both the Ocean's Edge, a nice rooftop restaurant, and the Pirate Bar, a casual place on the ground floor. We were impressed with the food at both, and the prices are reasonable. There is also a Tiki Bar and convenience store/coffee shop nearby, but bear in mind you are almost at the northern tip of the island. The pro and con of this is that you are kind of isolated. You will probably want to make sure you bring hand soaps, dish soap, dishwasher pods (they had some of these left) and basics like kitchen wrap, sugar, salt and pepper, etc. They have both a Keurig and a traditional coffee pot (small; #2 basket filters). The appliances worked very well, but the icemaker is non-functional (they have trays, or you could just buy a bag of ice). We had a lovely time!

The property needs some work. Seems like a complete homeowner makeover. The refrigerator and dishwasher were not level and made both difficult to open and close. Towel racks came off the wall when a towel was placed on them. The unit was not cleaned very well. Sand and dust covered the floor and I sneezed continuously when we first arrived. We ended up buying a vacuum cleaner from Walmart and a new air filter. The air filter was disgusting. It had not been changed since April. We took a picture of the filter, it was dated and initialed by someone. As far as the resort property... some construction was going on with the other pool and hottub area. The other pool was just straight up nasty. It was never cleaned the whole time we were there, and some of the preformers that were hired for entertainment were just loud and obnoxious. The other guests at the resort we drunk super early in the morning and everyone was just unaware of other people around them. They were rude and unpleasant to be around. Its crazy how much people's attitudes have changed since Covid19, and how selfish people have become overall. We were completely disappointed with the trashy redneck demeanor of the other guest at the resort and that alone would keep us from coming back.
