Spacious not fussy home that can meet a family’s demands. Two kayaks available for touring the small tranquil lake. Lots of fish to feed off of the peer. Enjoyed the quiet.

A Great Up North Place to Relax and Enjoy!
We had six adults and none of us felt that we were on top of one another during our one-week stay. The family areas were very cozy and inviting and the lake area was wonderful! A great place to stay!

Peaceful retreat
What a lovely house on a picture perfect lake! We enjoyed our stay here and will be back.
This is a cozy Cottage on Mirror Lake that is open, warm and very inviting. We were there for a Celebration of Life and we felt like we were "home" during a very difficult time. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. There is a fun side-activity where you get to "find all the Gnomes" displayed and hidden around. My young nieces had fun with that when they came over.

From the owner: “We’re so glad to hear the cottage felt like home for you during such an important time and that you found the host accommodating and responsive. Central air was available in case it felt too warm. Please let us know how we could have made your stay even better. Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your experience.”

Hi Robert, thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us, we are so glad to hear that you had a phenomenal getaway. We appreciate you letting us know that there is room for improvement and will follow up with our local team regarding your feedback. We hope to host you for another great stay in the future!
As advertised. Listing is spot on with the property descriptions and features. We had a issue with the tv when we arrived and after contacting owner they scheduled a Spectrum tech to be on site the next day to fix the problem. Great service and enjoyed our holiday stay.
Very nice home with lots of areas to sit and look out at the lake. Everything was quite clean inside and supplies were well stocked. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. No grill though. The couch was not so comfortable for us - didn't have back support really so we had to use a bunch of pillows. Bed and pillows were amazing. It was not as buggy as we thought it would be sitting by the lake but walking our dog on the wooded street definitely was. Nice firepit with wood provided. We really enjoyed our stay!
Recommend going to CT Deli in town - really delicious sandwiches and everything homemade. And Honey Bear Cafe in Eagle River has the best fried walleye we've ever had (and very good bloody marys).

A Place of Peace and Joy
Gnomes Nob is filled with treasures inside and out! Beds are incredibly comfortable, amenities are above and beyond, and the furnishings are thoughtful. The inside of the house is clean and comfortable, incredibly welcoming and spacious.
Outside, there is so much to enjoy! The stillness in the morning is incomparable. Looking out the window on the glassy surface of the lake and hearing nothing by the birds singing starts the day on a contemplative note. Getting out onto the water in one of the provided kayaks or just sitting on the dock is so peaceful. And walking the neighborhood's tree-lined streets and being greeted by friendly neighbors and dogs makes it feel like home away from home. Ending the evening with a lakeside campfire is the perfect way to cap off a day of rest and relaxation.
Rhinelander is a fun town to explore and there are wonderful trails to hike nearby. In the winter, the cozy fireplace in the living room and the wood burning stove downstairs would be a delightful welcome home after a day of winter sports.
We highly recommend Gnomes Nob as a place of peace and joy in the north woods!
