**** WATER SPORTS ****
We have two 2-person kayaks available to use for free to intermediate paddlers. Pitt Lake is tidal and twice a day flows as fast as a river so it can be dangerous for novice paddlers to get swept away in the current. Ask the caretaker for when the good time of day for the best conditions to use the kayaks. He will provide the paddles and life jackets.
Feel free to bring your own stand up paddleboards (and a pump!)
**** NO HIKING ****
There are no hikes available on our property. We own five acres of waterfront and are surrounded by privately owned wilderness. Please respect and do cross over the clearly marked "PRIVATE PROPERTY" signs. Thank you.
**** CARETAKER/ EMERGENCIES ****
The caretaker / boat captain may or may not be on the premises for the duration of your stay. If he is on the property he will be available should a medical emergency arise to take anyone back to the boat launch where an Ambulance can arrive. If the captain is not on the property he can typically be there within a 1-2 hour period. He will be working in the shop or somewhere quietly on the property and will respect your privacy and space. But also happy to chat with any guests if they wish.
