We had a wedding to attend at Pikes Peak Ranch and this was the perfect house to stay in for this event as we were able to get to and from the venue in just under 30 minutes. The property is beautiful, peaceful and remote and the town of Woodland Park is really great too. We wish we could've stayed longer. The house is just as advertised with lots of room for family. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all with family or friends this is a wonderful place. It is definitely off the beaten path and driving at night or in the winter could be challenging for some.

This property is the Awesomest

What an awesome place to stay. Way back in the woods in the heart of nature. However, the best part of this property was the host. They were very helpful. Thank you so much!!

Very Happy Family

We held our annual family (+friends) gathering in this beautiful home. It was perfect. The location is cozily private and remote yet close to many sites of interest in the Woodland Park/Colorado Springs area. The home is furnished with beautiful and comfortable furniture. In addition, the kitchen is fully stocked with fine cookware and utensils. Also the beds and bedding were fabulous! In addition there was a fully equipped game barn. We spent several hours enjoying all the games. I highly recommend this wonderful property.

Ac the reason for 41/2 stars

The ac on the second floor did not blow hard. Stayed around 80 to 85 degrees Other than that issue the house was very nice. Kitchen well stocked just bring food. Wildlife is all around seen bears, deer, a black squirrel. Definitely need a truck or suv to get to the house it is about 3 miles off paved roads. The outside sitting area, Bluetooth speakers and hot tub are a wonderful addition.

Hi Blake. We're glad to hear that you found the house very nice and the kitchen well stocked. It's unfortunate that you encountered an issue with the AC on the second floor, and we apologize for any discomfort this may have caused. Your feedback about the wildlife and the outdoor amenities like the sitting area, Bluetooth speakers, and hot tub is much appreciated. Regarding the access road, it's important for guests to be aware that it requires a vehicle with higher clearance. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we hope to host you again in the future with improved conditions.

Found our Summer Rental

My family loved everything this home had to offer. It was great to have more than enough room in the home; it had everything we wanted and we would love to come back the same time every year. We wanted to find a place that wasn’t too close to neighbors, a great place for hikes, a fireplace, hot tub, grill for family cooked meals and the game room was an extra plus. thank you for helping us make wonderful memories with our kids. ❤️ The only thing the house would need is a few more supplies since there isn’t a store nearby. Maybe some Kleenex tissues, qtips/cotton balls, condiments like ketchup, mustard, maybe a stick of butter. Just some things that you may forget on a trip.

Great property, bad neighbor

The property itself is awesome, not perfect but excellent. Property management is good. House was clean, views are awesome. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others EXCEPT................neighbor approach me with a gun. We rented this house for our annual company retreat. We dont drink, smoke or do drugs. It was about 630pm at night, we decided to build a fire in the firepit. I checked the fire warning, it was green. It was low wind. We watered the area all around us, had two 5 gallon buckets of water next to the fire along with the hose on stand by. Neighbor came walking up from his property with rifle in hand. Hopped the fence onto the property, never said a word, just made his way right up to me. He got mad and told me i had no business building a fire. I asked him if it was against the law or rules. He said, no, we were allowed to. But then proceeded to get more agitated. After a few minutes of this and him swearing at me, I asked him to leave the property. He did and then swore at me some more as he left. Sheriff showed up a few hours later. Inspected the fire and explained we were doing nothing wrong and that we were being very responsible with the fire. The neighbor mentioned being a care giver of the property. So the owner either knows this guy or the guy is lying. Either way, not the best way to approach guests. Not how a company retreat should go. Property owner has some things to figure out. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

Ok stay

Overall, it was a good stay. Upon arriving, the AC was not working with a note on the thermostat saying "No AC defrosting in progress" It was well over 80 degrees in the house. I messaged on the app and they said they would look into it. They did have portable window AC units hooked up, so it appeared there had been some trouble with the AC for awhile. On day 3 of our stay I believe someone came to look at it. By this point my husband had checked the air filter and it was filthy. We took that out. Also the fuse for the AC on the outside of the house was upside down. We turned that around and things started working. We told maintenance to bring a new filter but they did not. I believe they had just walked into the house and felt that it was cool and said it was working, not looking at anything. The hot tub was filthy dirty. It had a terrible smell and was green. We would not let our kids in it towards the end of the trip. I do not think this has been maintained or cleaned in a very long time. There were cigarettes butts all over the patio. If it rains alot, the road was very difficult to drive on in spots. It was washed out in a lot of spots with big ruts. Those were the negatives. It had a great view and was secluded. It is a nice home and pretty roomy. Overall, it was a nice stay, but the AC was a pretty major downfall but once we fixed it ourselves things were better.

The house was spacious for 6 adults and 4 children. The game barn is great feature that provides a place away from the house to play. The owners were very prompt in replying to any concerns.
