Horizons Kangaroo Sanctuary - private couples retreat on our 10 acre property

Horizons Kangaroo Sanctuary is located at Ranches Estate, Agnes Water on 10 acres. We are dedicated wildlife carers & have spent over 15 years rehabilating & releasing orphaned kangaroos & wallabies here on our property.
Your accommodation is private and away from the main house. We have a security gate at the entrance to the property so you will ring the office for access & then you will be met by Garry or Denise & shown where you can park in your undercover carport. We will help you if needed to get your luggage to your unit & will organise a gate pass & explain how the gate works. You will then be left alone to settle in to your recently fully renovated unit.
During your stay you are welcome to explore the property & enjoy the varied wildlife including roos & wallabies you will encounter. The birdlife here is amazing & we have many different visitors like rainbow bee eaters, fairy wrens, black cockatoos, sunbirds, just to name a few. If you prefer, relax & enjoy the stunning views, the outstanding sunsets over the mountains of Eurimbula National Park from your comfy seating areas at the front & back of the unit. The kangaroo feeding held every afternoon is a special experience.
If you are adventurous, there are many activities including day trips to Lady Musgrave Island, Larc trips to Bustard Bay lighthouse, walking tracks, national parks to explore & of course our beautiful beaches, hang out at 1770 & enjoy a coffee & indulge in a piece of Phils award winning vanilla slice at the 1770 marina cafe while watching all the boating activity, go canoeing or stand up paddle boarding, be captivated by some of the most breathtaking views on the drive to the lookout.
Enjpy a meal at one of the manty eateries, grab a takeaway or cook up a storm in the well equipped full size kitchen. Don't forget to look up & on a clear night, marvel at the night sky. Sleep soundly in your luxurious bed being lulled by the peace & quiet, the tranquility of the bush at night.
