Sydney harbour foreshore walk, fish markets and parklands are a short stroll, as is access to light rail, buses, ferry, shopping areas and Glebe markets. The home has a garage for off street parking for 1 car and there is easy street parking.
This contemporary converted warehouse sits in a leafy, quiet inner city residential neighbourhood on the city side of Glebe and was originally part of a flour mill built in the early 1900s.
The living, dining and entertainment areas are set over 2 levels with hardwood floors, soaring nine metre timber ceiling and industrial steel beams. An internal mezzanine floor offers a seating area/sofa bed and an outdoor roof terrace with extensive city and district views, built-in Webber gas BBQ and sink, dining area, perimeter garden and chais lounge.
The expansive kitchen is part of the living area and has ample bench space and storage, a large internal fridge, Miele dishwasher, microwave, large oven and five burner electric cooktop. A newly renovated bathroom with bath and double shower is also on this level. The internal and external dining tables seat up to 10.
On a separate floor, there are three bedrooms (2 queen,1 double) and a newly renovated bathroom with shower. Also on this floor is a delightful 2nd living room with lounge, television and outdoor terrace. There is an additional (4th) sleeping area on the mezzanine with a comfortable, quality, fold out double sofa bed. The house is currently set up to sleep 6, but up to 8 could be accommodated comfortably in the four sleeping areas. The living area flooring and stairs are local hardwood timber floors. The bedrooms and downstairs living room are carpeted.
The aspect from all living areas is elevated, leafy and light. One can spend days in this home without feeling hemmed in!
Entertainment options include a 5.1 surround sound entertainment system with a 50 inch 4K screen in the main living space. A separate TV with surround sound is in the living room off the bedroom area. Streaming services in both are available through Apple TV. There are plenty of adult and children’s games, books, CDs and DVDs.
On the ground floor entry is a garage for one car and a laundry with Meile front-load washing machine and a dryer.
A 10 minute walk from the house will also take you to a substantial shopping area - Broadway, boasting several supermarkets including ALDI and Coles as well as designer clothing and homeware stores and a cinema complex. The nearby Tramsheds is also a unique dining and shopping precinct.
Glebe village and the Sydney Fish Markets are 5 minute walk. The city and Darling Harbour are 15/20 minutes walk and the Glebe light rail and bus stops are 2/3 minute walk. Sydney Uni and UTS are a 15 min walk and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital 25 mins.
