The location of the cabin was perfect. We knew the cabin was small but it did accommodate my family of 5. It had everything we needed to have a good time. There were a few bad things that we did not like, the water did not get hot for showers or to wash dishes. All the dishes had mouse droppings as well as the bed and the tables. The fridge did not get cold all of the food we purchased did not stay cold and was ruined. The freezer worked great. The shower was slimy and the towels smelled like mildew. We were the last cabin at the end of the road. There are 4 more cabins on the same side and all of the guests from the other cabins walked straight through our sitting area all day to go to the water.

From the owner: "Hi Megan, thank you for your honest feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear about the issues you experienced during your stay. While I’m glad the location and layout worked well for your family, the problems you described — from the lack of hot water and fridge issues to the cleanliness concerns — are unacceptable and far from the experience we aim to provide. We’ve already begun addressing these concerns with our maintenance and cleaning teams to ensure they’re resolved immediately. I also apologize for the lack of privacy caused by foot traffic near your cabin — we’re looking into better ways to manage that for future guests.Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and I appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention. I hope we’ll have the opportunity to provide a much better experience in the future."
This is a hard review. Our cabin was very rustic and cool. However, the mattress on the bed was in horrible condition and very uncomfortable to sleep on. Also we found that the steps down to the creek are fairly treacherous. I'm a fairly athletic and healthy 70 year old and I found it difficult to just negotiate getting up and down from the creek. Seems like just for safety sake that the owners would put in a nice set of stairs down to the creek. Finally, our last night there some other people moved into the cabin next door and proceeded to be loud and rowdy well after 2:00 in the morning. The information on the cabins says that it's supposed to be quiet from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m., but when there's no one around to enforce that I'm not sure what someone like me is supposed to do. We'll probably not be staying at these cabins again.

From the owner: "Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you appreciated the rustic charm of the cabin, but we’re truly sorry to hear about the challenges you experienced during your stay.- Comfort and safety are very important to us. We’ve taken note of your comments regarding the mattress and will be addressing this promptly. We also appreciate your input on the creek access—our team is already reviewing options to make the steps safer and more accessible for all guests.- Regarding the noise disturbance, we apologize for the disruption. While we have quiet hours in place, we know it can be frustrating when they aren’t respected. We’ll continue working on ways to better enforce these policies so everyone can enjoy the peaceful environment that our cabins are meant to provide.Your feedback helps us improve, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future to provide a more comfortable and restful stay."
