The space
Breathe Deep, Unwind, and Let the Trees Do the Talking
Welcome to your peaceful, adults only, escape among the treetops. Nestled on a gentle rise, this charming Queenslander blends classic style with modern comforts to give you the ultimate home-away-from-home experience. Whether you're craving stillness, fresh air, or a touch of nostalgia, you’ll find it all here—indoors and out.
Step inside and feel the calm. The interior is both stylish and laid-back, with air-conditioning throughout and thoughtful touches that make relaxing effortless. Lounge on the plush sofa with a view across the tree canopy, curl up with a book in one of the cozy nooks, or gather around the generously sized smart TV for a quiet movie night. For the “big kids,” there’s even a retro arcade console packed with classic games for a little extra fun.
The open-plan kitchen and living area makes everything feel connected, with sweeping views from every angle. The kitchen is fully stocked with quality cutlery, cookware, and pantry basics—perfect for cooking up anything from quick snacks to full feasts. And with a separate laundry room complete with washer, dryer, ironing station, and drop zone, you’ll have everything you need for a carefree stay.
Sleeping arrangements are just as thoughtful. The luxuriously spacious primary bedroom invites long, restful nights with fresh linen and garden outlooks. A snug second bedroom provides cozy comfort, while a third "napping room" with a daybed and 270-degree views of the trees is ideal for an afternoon siesta, quiet reading session, or simply watching the wind in the leaves.
Outside, the magic continues. Start your day with morning coffee on the covered pergola, then take in the birdsong from a sunny spot on the lawn. Later, fire up the BBQ in the pavilion, unwind in the 28°C (in summer) or 40°C (in winter) plunge tub, or gather around the fire pit under the stars. Multiple outdoor seating areas let you choose your vibe—sun-drenched, shaded, or fireside.
Surrounded by tall gums and native bush, the property is a haven for wildlife, with regular visits from local native birds and the occasional curious wallaby. Whether you’re here for a romantic retreat, a creative recharge, or a peaceful getaway with friends or family, this is a place to truly slow down, breathe deep, and reconnect—with nature, with each other, and with yourself.
So come, take a breath among the trees. We’ve taken care of the details—you just need to arrive, settle in, and enjoy the serenity.
There is an amazing Sunroom, which also has a daybed that can be used as a sleeping bed for one person as well
Our retreat is adults-only, as the property is not equipped with child-safe features.
For safety and environmental reasons, smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property, including outdoor areas, due to the high bushfire risk in our region.
Guest access
The entire home is privately yours with all its surrounding areas. The hosts have a home about 100m away in between the trees, with a shed nearby.
Other things to note
We will provide a hamper consisting of a few food staples such as eggs, pastries, bread, breakfast cereals, tea bags, coffee pods, milk and sugar to help you settle in on your first morning.
Things to note as we like to be fully transparent:
This is a 1,291 sq ft (120m2) stand-alone Queenslander home situated on a 10 acre (40,000m2) rural property. You can see a farm shed from the property and the hosts live about 200m away in a separate, fairly hidden and private estate home.
We are on the mountain/bush, so as is normal here in Queensland you may encounter the occasional sighting of our much-loved Carpet Python and the odd other snake - very rare though. All windows have insect screens, and the home is extremely secure from any critters. We advise you to keep the two doors closed to ensure insects and critters are kept out.
