I had a decent stay here and with a bit more care and attention, this place could easily step into 4-star territory.The positives:The hosts were really great with communication. The beds were comfy, the house was clean inside, and the layout works well for families. We appreciated the shampoo/conditioner/soap provided, and a few useful kitchen essentials made meals easier. There is a lot of potential here and it could be a really lovely stay with some extra touches.The drawbacks:The outdoor areas need a lot of attention. The grass in both front and back was overgrown, and the weeds and long grass around the pool made it feel neglected. The air-con wasn’t switched on prior to our arrival during a heatwave, and it took about a day and a half to cool the place down to comfortable levels. Turning on the air con a few hour earlier would have been a really thoughtful thing to do. There was also a large wet, rotting teddy bear by the pool and leftover pool toys scattered around, which didn’t give the best first impression. The shower water pressure was very poor. Inside, the house feels quite empty - a few puzzles or games (even from op shops), or homely touches would go a long way to making it more welcoming.Overall, it was fine, but with a little extra care and attention, it could be genuinely great.
