This place is very fun for families. It has plenty of room and is very private. The only complaint was that the outside needs some maintenance, but overall, everything was great.
Rustic Cottage that is very comfortable and in a lovely location. Clean property with all the necessities. Comfortable for a big group.

The house is extremely rundown, which we suspected from some of the pictures. What we did not anticipate was that the only thing clean would be the bed sheets and towels. There were dead bugs and cobwebs throughout the kitchen, including within the pans in the cupboards. The guest book asks that shoes be left at the door, but our socks and feet were black within the hour. We didn’t feel comfortable sitting on the furniture outside as it has all been intended, nor did we feel comfortable allowing the children to explore due to the refuse including an abandoned camper, which had a light on inside every night. We asked about that on night one as it was extremely creepy, and did not receive a response until our last evening.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
We were a group of 9 adults on a much-anticipated weekend getaway. While the location was beautiful and the host responsive, our overall experience fell short especially considering the premium price.ProsBeautiful Location: Peaceful, scenic, tucked away in nature, perfect for a relaxing retreat.Responsive Host: Reilly and her team were prompt & helpful, quickly fulfilling requests for extra fans and a toaster oven.Spacious Interior: The rooms and kitchen comfortably accommodated our group.Well-Stocked Kitchen: Included most essentials, which made cooking easy.Clean Main Floor Bathroom: This washroom was well-maintained and met our expectations.ConsCleanliness Issues: We found dead bugs in a cupboard & dusty tea cabinets. Plates deeper in the dish cabinet had bugs, so we re-washed everything. The BBQ was extremely dirty so we didn’t use it at all, which was disappointing as well as patio table, for the cleaning fee this was unacceptable and overpriced!Third-Floor Bathroom: No exhaust fan and bugs under the sink gave it a neglected feel.Value for Money: While nature brings some critters, the lack of basic cleanliness felt unsanitary. It seemed the cottage wasn’t properly cleaned or inspected before our stay.Final ThoughtsThe setting is lovely, and Reilly is a responsive host, but the stay was ultimately underwhelming due to cleanliness and maintenance issues. With more thorough housekeeping & updates this cottage could provide a much better experience.
