Love this cottage. The location is perfect - end of the road, right by the river and yet only a 8min drive to the gas station, pub and two grocery stores! There's also the Cable House Cafe, a fantastic establishment and great sandwiches. The river is great for paddle boarding and fishing. The scenary is just breath-taking, even for us living on the west coast. The cottage is well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. There's lots of space to lounge, read, do puzzles or play games. You have access to kayaks and paddleboards at the camp ground.Communication with Saskia, our host, was easy from day 1. Saskia was very prompt in her responses and very helpful to address our questions. Saskia really took care of us and made sure we settled well. When my wife ill from something she ate on our way up, Saskia brought us fresh mint to help calm her tummy. Saskia also made sure we had plenty of firewood and a proper lighter to make fires. Overall we had a lovely Labor Day long weekend stay and can't wait to come back again!
