This was a cute loft in a great neighborhood with wonderful restaurants, shops, walking paths by the river, and within walking distance of downtown. As shown in the pictures, there are steep steps that one needs to negotiate to get up to the loft. Not an issue, but be aware. There were good directions provided for entry. The host admitted he was new to VRBOing, and it showed. I describe it as "more sizzle than steak." By that I mean there were cute decorative elements, but not basics. There were no washcloths, sugar, salt, pepper, toaster, or functioning outlet in the upstairs bathroom. The host mentioned he needed to get around to fixing it! The A/C was not working and the upstairs loft bedroom was quite stuffy. There was as beautiful Dyson fan provided, but that too did not work. There were several drawers provided for our clothing storage, but they were already filled up with extra host goods. No coasters were provided, and the 2 night tables were already ruined. There was a tub shower upstairs. The floor of the tub was so slippery as to be a hazard. A mat and/or grab bars should be considered, as mentioned to the host. The towel bar outside the shower had already been pulled from the wall as shown by the unsanded plaster patches. I'm not sure the loft was used prior to our visit, for I could write my name in the dust on the coffee table. The Dyson fan was not clean and the lower level HVAC return was filthy.
