About this property

University Park Condos are Fort Worth's best kept secret! The location of this gated complex can't be beat: walkable to UNT Health Science Center, many restaurants (new and sleek and old and quaint alike), Monticello Park, biking and walking trails, nightlife, you name it! The on-site pool is dazzling and cool in the hot Texas summers, and there are two brand new poolside grills available for your use; the hot tub is enjoyable year round!

The unit itself has been efficiently designed to maximize space and recently renovated. There is laminate "hardwood" flooring throughout, as well as new tile flooring in the kitchen and bathroom, new subway tile shower and kitchen backsplash. The kitchen offers a new full-size refrigerator, dishwasher and vent-a-hood (the range is studio size!). There is an in-unit stackable washer and dryer for convenience. Wireless internet is provided and streaming is offered on the flat screen TV. An office nook in the corner is perfect for Work From Home.

Not the same

The property did not look like the pictures listed. While it was clean, there is a hole in the wall as soon as you walk in, paint peeling in the bathroom, a rusted access door in the ceiling of the bathroom. It was just not what was expected from the pictures. We arrived late due to our plane being delayed. People next to the complex were outside drinking. With all this, we decided to move to another place.

Great location, close to TCU and downtown

My son stayed at this condo for one semester while attending college at TCU. He said it was in a perfect location, convenient to school and the grocery store, and the kitchen had everything he needed for preparing meals. He appreciated the large flat screen TV for chilling out. The pool area was a nice bonus as well.

Great property near west 7th and downtown

This property is good for short or long term stays. It is walking distance to west 7th and about half a mile to the running trails. The owner is great, very communicative, and always available if you need anything. The property is in a safe neighborhood with friendly neighbors.

We bought this property in 2017 and had a medical student renting it for three years. She moved to continue her medical studies at about the time we sold our home near TCU so we moved in--our family of 4 + our goldendoodle! My kids thought it was so funny to nickname the condo "Strawndo" after our last name. We thoroughly enjoyed the on-site pool and hot tub, as well as walkability to the nearby park and beautiful Monticello neighborhood. We found walkable donut shops, nail salons, restaurants, you name it! You can't beat the location. We've now remodeled another nearby home so it is time for the Strawndo's next tenant! (Sorry for not leaving the Peloton!) (Also shameless self promotion: I'm a real estate agent here in Fort Worth, so I'm happy to answer any real estate questions!)
