Your host
Hello! I’m "Dammi, born and raised in Sri Lanka, and I’ve always had a deep love for nature and wildlife. My inspiration to start our resort came from visiting Wilpattu National Park with my family — one of the most peaceful and fascinating places in the country. I wanted to create a space where guests can experience that same connection with nature, comfort, and local village life.
When I’m not hosting, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, meeting travelers from around the world, and sharing stories about Sri Lanka’s wildlife and culture. Hosting gives me the joy of helping guests feel at home while discovering the beauty of our surroundings.

Why they chose this property
I chose this area because Wilpattu is one of the most beautiful and untouched parts of Sri Lanka, yet there were very few comfortable places for visitors to stay. I wanted to create a place where guests could enjoy luxury and peace while being surrounded by nature — a perfect base for their safari adventures in Wilpattu National Park.
Most accommodations here are run by small local villages, and many travelers only realize the charm and warmth of these communities once they visit. My goal was to combine that local hospitality with a higher level of comfort and service, giving guests the best of both worlds — authentic village life and a truly relaxing stay.

What makes this property unique
Wilpattu Safari Resort is unique because it blends the charm of traditional village life with the comfort of modern luxury. The design of our villas was inspired by the chena huts once used by local farmers — simple, natural structures built close to the forest — but we’ve reimagined them with elegant interiors, private spaces, and beautiful views of nature.
Our location is just minutes from Wilpattu National Park, making it the perfect base for safari adventures while still offering peace, privacy, and relaxation. What truly sets us apart is the warm, genuine hospitality of our team — most of whom come from the nearby villages and take pride in sharing the culture, food, and traditions of this beautiful region. Every stay feels personal, authentic, and connected to the spirit of Wilpattu.
