Pretend you're a merchant on the silk road, learn about the lost art of jewellery wax molding, dine on the handmade mosaic table designed by Olivia's mum, lose yourself in a novel on the leather couch underneath the Indigenous artwork, soak yourself in our turkish bath, cook a pasta in our Naples inspired kitchen, or work away in the quiet ottoman office. In the morning, brew a coffee in the Florence stovetop pot and soak in the sun coming through the Melbourne trees.
Cleopatra's Villa is the home of Olivia and Alex. Every corner has been designed to inspire creativity and bring calmness. From the stunning leather couch to the ottoman empire armchairs and handmade mosaic dining table, you'll find everything you need for a stay that you will remember.

Main Bedroom (Queen)
The Neapolitan Dream: Drift off in our serene master bedroom, adorned with warm terracotta hues, intricate patterns, and touches that evoke the sun-drenched streets of Naples. You’ll find a supremely comfortable queen-sized bed, quality linens, and ample storage for your belongings.
Study (Desk) / Child's room (Cot)
The Ottoman Study: This versatile space adapts to your needs. Inspired by the rich textiles and intricate designs of Istanbul, this space features a dedicated office desk and chair for remote work, as well as a comfortable cot for little ones. The perfect spot for quiet contemplation, creative pursuits, or peaceful sleep for a child.
Cot
A cot is provided for families travelling with a little one, offering a comfortable and safe sleeping space. A cosy mattress is included, but please bring your own linen and bedding. We also have a changing table.
Kitchen
The Naples Kitchen: Prepare delicious meals in our eclectic, functional kitchen. Everything you need is here — a stove, a Miele oven, a Miele dishwasher, a refrigerator, a coffee grinder, an Italian coffee maker, and all essential cookware and utensils.
Free Parking
Enjoy one generous off-street parking space at the back of the property—no height restrictions. Street parking nearby is also free and unlimited.
Heating/cooling
Each room in the apartment is fitted with a radiator heater for comfort. Portable fans are provided in the warmer months.
Laundry
The laundry area is equipped with a Samsung washing machine and a Miele dryer, offering the convenience of handling your laundry needs during your stay. Whether you're on a short trip or an extended visit, this makes it easy to refresh your wardrobe or sheets at any time.

Located in Kew, one of Melbourne’s most well-loved leafy suburbs, this elegant neighbourhood offers a peaceful village feel just minutes from the city. The perfect base to explore Melbourne: stroll through tree-lined streets, relax in nearby Studley Park, and enjoy local cafés, gourmet delis, boutiques, and a thriving food culture.
Excellent tram and bus connections take you directly to the CBD, sporting arenas, galleries, and shopping precincts — with the Yarra River close by for scenic walks and bike rides.
Kew is an inner eastern suburb of Melbourne, located about 6 km from the CBD. It is conveniently accessible by all transport options, whether you’re driving, using ride-share services, taking public transport, or cycling.
Tram
To reach the city, you can take tram route 109 to the apartment (closest stop is Kew Traffic School/Cotham Road (Stop 41). The tram departs from the city (including Southern Cross Station) and travels through Richmond and Hawthorn. Bus services also connect from surrounding suburbs if needed. Route 109 - Box Hill to Port Melbourne takes 24 minutes to the CBD and departs approximately every 10 minutes. The cost is $3 for a 2-hour or $8 for a daily. Pick up a Myki travel card at any station or 7-11 convenience store.
Driving
If you’re bringing a car, there is usually free and unrestricted street parking available nearby. You won’t need a car to get around, though — trams run frequently and connect you directly to the CBD (about 20 minutes), as well as nearby areas like Richmond, Fitzroy, and Collingwood. Buses also service the area and link to the eastern suburbs. Walking and cycling paths along the Yarra River are nearby, making it easy to explore the parks and green spaces in the area. Google Maps will give you the most direct route to the property from wherever you’re coming from.
Arriving
Arriving from Tullamarine Airport
If you're flying in from interstate or overseas, you have two main options for reaching the property:
Taxi or Uber:
Both are readily available at the airport. Travel time to Kew is approximately 35–40 minutes, depending on traffic, and the fare is typically between AUD $70 and $90.
Skybus and Tram:
This is a more affordable option. Take the red Skybus from Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross Station. From there, transfer to tram route 109 from Collins Street. Travel towards Kew and alight at the stop 41-Kew Traffic School/Cotham Rd. Skybus tickets are around AUD $20 one way. You’ll need a Myki card or Mobile Myki to use trams; these can be purchased at Southern Cross Station or loaded via the Android app.
