Small Town Getaway
Want a change of scenery? Situated in natural surroundings, a quiet location. Southbridge is a small rural town South of Christchurch and 8 kms from Leeston township, lovely scenery with a strong farming community.
Southridge has a public swimming pool open in summer, Fish n chip / Chinese takeaway, play ground, reserve and an Indian food truck. There is a superette open 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm, as well as a local pub for an ale or meal in the Restaurant. The beach and the Rakaia River is known for its salmon and trout fishing, and 3 minutes by car to the Ellesmere speedway. Walking tracks include bird walk in harts Creek and the Rakaia huts walk.
On High Street Southbridge at the back of our property is a Studio style accommodation. With Nice outdoor area and garden. 1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom. Kitchen and living area with Fold down Sofa bed.
