The 6-guest capacity is comfortable with 4 in beds and 2 on the sofa bed; 6 adults all sharing the space full-time should plan accordingly. This is a residential condo, not a hotel, so quiet hours apply.

Guest Access:

The entire condo is yours. Self check-in via keypad — full instructions arrive in our digital guidebook before your stay. Elevator runs from the covered parking level straight to your floor.



Two reserved covered parking spaces come with the unit — no scraping snow off the car, no searching for a spot during storm days.



Indoor and outdoor hot tub keys are inside the unit when you arrive. Sauna, steam room, pickleball, and tennis courts are shared building amenities accessible to all guests.



The Neighborhood:

Plaza 241 sits in the heart of Mt. Crested Butte's base village — the resort side of the valley, where the lifts, ski school, and après bars are all within a few minutes on foot.



Walkable from the front door:

A quick shuttle ride:

— 6min on the free Mountain Express — Historic town of Crested Butte (Victorian Main Street, restaurants, bars, galleries, more dining variety)



The Mountain Express shuttle runs all day, every day, about every 15 minutes — most guests ski from the condo by day, then shuttle into the town of CB for dinner.



Year-round destination: summer brings world-class mountain biking (Crested Butte is the birthplace of the sport), Colorado wildflower hiking, the Wildflower Festival in July, and the Crested Butte Music Festival. Fall is one of the state's best aspen color runs. Shoulder seasons are quiet and priced accordingly.



Mt. Crested Butte vs. the town of Crested Butte: Mt. Crested Butte (where Plaza 241 is) is the resort base — lifts, ski school, and mountain-side restaurants. The town of Crested Butte, 3.5 miles down the road, is the Victorian mining-town Main Street with more dining variety, galleries, and nightlife. The free shuttle links them continuously.



Getting Around:

You don't need a car to ski — but you'll want one for the trip in.



From Gunnison (GUC): ~42 min drive. Closest commercial airport with direct flights from Denver, Dallas, Houston, and seasonal cities. Rental cars at the airport.

From Denver (DEN): ~4 hr drive via US-285 → US-50 → CO-135. Two mountain passes — Monarch is the higher one. Check cotrip.org in winter. 4WD or chains recommended November through April.

From Eagle/Vail (EGE): ~2.5 hr drive — backup if Gunnison flights are sold out.



Once on-site at Plaza 241:

The CBMR lifts and base village are walkable (3–7 min). The free Mountain Express shuttle runs to the town of Crested Butte all day every day — no driving needed for a night out in town. Two free covered parking spots come with the unit, so a car is convenient if guests want to explore further (Kebler Pass, hot springs, Taylor Reservoir day trips).



Rideshare in Mt. Crested Butte is very limited. Plan on the free shuttle, your own car, or a pre-booked private driver.

You're staying in a private condo in a residential building, not a hotel — quiet hours and HOA rules apply. There's no on-site staff 24/7, but we respond to messages within an hour during the day.



Altitude: Mt. Crested Butte sits at 9,375 ft. First-day headaches, fatigue, or trouble sleeping are normal at elevation — drink extra water, take it easy on Day 1, and travel insurance is a good idea.



Hot tub keys are in the unit. Two covered parking spaces are reserved per reservation.

We're available throughout your stay, but our level of involvement is entirely up to you — visible or invisible, your call. The Traverse team responds to messages within an hour during the day and is always a quick text away for anything you need.
