About this property

Lifestyle Savvy on Urban Eddy

Be in the heart of Moonee Ponds with our stylish 2 bedroom 1.5 bathroom townhouse with secure undercover parking. Suitable for 6 with its additional sofa bed in one of the two living areas, it’s the perfect base for those looking to explore Melbourne, have every possible food option at your door and be able to chill in front of the gas fireplace or in the afternoon sun with its alfresco lounge in tropical bliss, or maybe you’d like to soak in the spa bath. Modern comfort in a secure setting.

For those who value security when they short term stay, then ‘Urban Eddy’ is your place. With keycoded entry and an alarm, with secure undercover parking via the rear laneway, you’ll love that you’re in the heart of the action yet peaceful and private in a modern oasis. When you step inside, you’ll love that there is a private lounge with desk set up in the front away, where you can relax with a book, catch up on some work or have a quiet conversation on the 3-seater chaise couch. The open plan living and dining area has a massive 75 inch smart TV and a gas fireplace to enjoy (the kids will love the pull out queen size sofa bed to snuggle up and watch movies at night), with a 4 seater dining table and two bar stools at the kitchen breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, your favourite small appliances including a coffee pod machine. The bedrooms are upstairs including the main bedroom with its café balcony watching the world go by, queen size bed, 40inch smart television and built in robes, with the second bedroom offering two single beds at the back so they can sleep soundly. The bathroom is divine with its separate spa bath, frameless glass shower, single vanity, toilet and bidet; with a second toilet downstairs behind the custom laundry with its combo washer/dryer. Double doors open to a sun filled alfresco courtyard with lounge seating and coffee table – perfect for drinks and a cheese platter under the tropical palm trees, with access to the open garage or start up the barbecue to get the full Aussie experience. The home is equipped with reverse cycle air conditioning – two units on each level as well as continuous hot water, so you won’t run out of hot water.

Guests will be given a keycode entry as well as an alarm code to access the property. All areas of the property will be available for use. Please note, while we do not have CCTV cameras on site, our neighbour does and can see the entire front entrance of our property and the rear laneway.

Moonee Ponds is in Melbourne’s inner north west, around 6.8 kilometres from Melbourne’s Central Business District. It was put on the world stage by the lovable Australian icon Dame Edna Everage and has come into its own as a lively suburb with fabulous food, culture and urban flair. Our stay is opposite the carpark to Coles supermarket to stock up for your stay, with Mason Square and Moonee Ponds Central offering a choice of spa and wellbeing services, trendy cafes, popular restaurants and dessert parlours. Laneways lead you into popular Puckle Street with an eye-opening choice of international cuisines, from Greek donuts, Japanese sushi, Indian/Sri Lankan grocers, French boulangeries, Mexican, Vietnamese, Chinese, dumplings, bagels, burger joints, pizza and an Italian steakhouse, to Australian favourites – fish n chips and pub meals. Explore Mount Alexander Road for delicious seafood, a buffet, Korean, Indian, Turkish and Thai, or a cheeky swill at the Mt Alexander Hotel. There is so much choice for food, you’d wish you’d book longer.
Moonee Ponds has the beauty of Queens Park to stroll around and take in the local nature and the swimming pool or take up barefoot bowling. You can walk to Moonee Valley Racecourse for regular events, or if you’re keen, it’s a 3 kilometre walk to Flemington Racecourse and the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds. Highpoint Shopping Centre is a favourite for those who love to shop and see the local fashion trends. Puckle Street is home to a classic car event in September. The Clocktower Centre has regular performances and productions for both children and adults from storytelling to comedy, ballet to orchestral works, tribute bands to broadway, author talks to holiday programs – it’s all here. Our stay is close to Penleigh and Essendon Grammar as well as Lowther Hall, if you are in town to see your grandchildren’s special events.
