Expectations

The condo was very clean but the furniture was very firm and uncomfortable. Air, fans,lights were all remote and difficult to figure out. There was no view. The back patio area butted up to a extremely high hedge. The pool temperature was way too hot to get in and enjoy. It was like a hot tub. The water was cloudy and the pool full of beach sand everywhere, so I didn't get to enjoy the pool at all. The walk to the beach was a little longer walk than anticipated and mostly under wa er from the rain. I spent a lot of money for something I couldn't enjoy. I will look for another place to stay next time I visit.

Colony Inn Is Back

We have stayed at Colony off and on since 1994. We think it is the best location to stay on Sanibel Island. The condos are beautiful and the new landscaping is spectacular. The new electronic door locking system is really great. No worries about losing your key on the beach. The Island is returning to the beautiful place it has always been.
