About this property
Australian Open Stay: Elegant Toorak Escape with Pool
This character-filled Toorak home offers a charming and spacious stay in one of Melbourne’s most coveted neighbourhoods. Ideally positioned between Hawksburn Village and Toorak Village, you're moments from boutique shopping, cafés, wine bars with excellent public transport links close by linking you to the Australian Open and music arenas with ease.
This is a home that welcomes families with open arms, encouraging everyone to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy Toorak the way locals do: comfortably, effortlessly, and with a touch of classic elegance.
Built in the 1880s and rich with original detail, the home unfolds behind a lush border of white hydrangeas. Ornate iron lacework, arched bay windows, and authentic Victorian craftsmanship remind us of the rich architectural history of the area.
Inside, the generous layout offers plenty of space for families to spread out. The formal sitting and dining room, with marble fireplaces and large bay window create grand but inviting spaces. Toward the rear, and the modern era of the homes offers an open-plan kitchen and living area with cosy sofas that becomes the true heart of daily life. With Gaggenau appliances, ample room for cooking, and a relaxed, light-filled atmosphere, it’s ready for everything from pancake breakfasts to family movie nights.
Large sliding doors open to the garden, alfresco dining area, pool, perfect for long summer days of children playing freely and family dinners under the stars.
Upstairs, five full-sized bedrooms provide comfort and flexibility for families of all sizes. The master suite includes walk-through robes, an ensuite, and a verandah with city view, an ideal retreat for parents. The additional bedrooms are welcoming and practical, offering plenty of room for children, teens, or extended family.
The home also benefits from ducted heating and cooling and off-street parking for two cars. It’s a lived-in, character-filled family home with warmth, charm, and a relaxed sense of luxury, not a perfect showcase house, but a place where guests feel ready at ease.
