Heaps of entertainment to keep the kids occupied while Mum and Dad chill out. Separate kids area with toys and books, Smart TVs with Amazon Prime and other movie apps preloaded, & the ability to log into your own streaming services. A PS3 with plenty of games. And a large outdoor train track to run the Polar Express!!

2 bedrooms with King size beds, and 2 that can be configured either as 2 King Singles or 1 California King. Please let us know your preference when booking. The 4th bedroom downstairs can also be used as a separate lounge, and contains a TV and the Playstation, perfect for the older kids to enjoy and have their own space. This space also contains the sofa bed which is the sleeping arrangement for guest numbers 9/10.

Large train tracks outside to run the Polar Express train! Heated by 2 big heatpumps upstairs, and a gas fire downstairs, the house is cosy warm on a cold day. Or run them on cooling if you need to escape the heat in summer! A portacot with sheets is available on request. Note that the living space and most of the bedrooms are upstairs. And that we have called it retro for a reason, some things aren't brand new (like the carpet and the wallpaper) but the furniture and the beds are.

Close to the Royal New Zealand Police College, for those visiting their friends and family there or for graduation.

The whole house and backyard is yours to utilise and explore. Try out the reading nook with books to browse, or play boardgames or do a puzzle at the dining room table. Or light the outdoor fire and have a BBQ.

Great cafes and local eateries, a dairy just a stones throw away and an abundance of walking tracks, close to beaches and other local attractions. Whitby has a lovely network of walkways through bush to playgrounds and local amenities. Wellington City is only 25 mins away, including Sky Stadium and the Beehive. Royal New Zealand Police college is only a 7 min drive, also close to Pauatahanui Lodge and Gear Homestead wedding venues.

There are 2 off street parking spaces, and free parking is on the street. There is a bus stop within 50m and the closest train station is Paremata. Continental breakfast and cooking basics are provided: Breakfast cereals, fruit, milk, coffee (Nespresso Machine and Moccona), tea, hot chocolate, and bread for toast with spreads
