The space
Step back in time while enjoying modern comfort in this one-of-a-kind condo located in the heart of Cullman, Alabama.
The building was originally constructed in the early 1900s over an urban aqueduct and first housed a hardware store. Its open basement once stored bananas, seeds, produce, and supplies for the shop. Over the decades, the street-level storefronts became home to a variety of local businesses, making this property a true part of the city’s story.
In 2022, BBR purchased the building and began a careful restoration. The original tin ceilings and hardwood floors were brought back to life, and in 2023, two ground-level condominiums were thoughtfully designed in the former storage space. These condos incorporate unique architectural details from the 1900s while being decorated with touches of local history, community character, and work from area artists.
