Guest Access:

You'll have access to the whole property during your stay including the single garage to store bikes and toys. Mid-way up the driveway is also a large parking area if you have your boat which is private from the road and visible from the house.

Despite the peaceful surroundings, you’re still within easy driving distance of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and Rotorua’s main attractions including lakes, geothermal parks, and adventure activities. This is the perfect location for guests who want the best of both worlds — a tranquil retreat with easy access to everything Rotorua has to offer.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended to make the most of your stay, as the property is set in a quiet area away from public transport routes. Most of Rotorua’s attractions, shopping areas, and dining precincts are within a short drive. For mountain bikers and outdoor enthusiasts, one of the biggest advantages of this location is the ability to access the Redwoods trail network nearby, meaning you can spend more time riding and less time driving. Taxis and ride-share services operate in the area if needed, but having your own vehicle will provide the greatest convenience.



Other Things to Note:

This is a rural farm cottage located on a working lifestyle farm block with farm animals, horses, cattle, sheep. Usual farm hazards exist if guests are outside of the cottage garden area. We are located on the opposite side of Tarawera Road to one of the Mountain Bike Forest entrances - if accessing the forest from the Cottage, extreme caution crossing the road is important - it is a busy road with fast moving vehicles.
