Unique Weekend Getaway for Five near Mount Cook, New Zealand

This remote suite rental is situated in the seaside village of Okarito, New Zealand, within easy reach of Mount Cook and is perfect for a quiet, weekend getaway. The suite features touches of local timber throughout, plenty of natural light, and breathtaking views. This spacious suite can accommodate up to five guests and is split into two units that are connected by an outdoor courtyard.



Each unit of the suite includes one bedroom with a full ensuite bathroom. One of the bedrooms is furnished with a king-size bed, a sofa, and a wood-burning stove, which is perfect for curling up next to in the evening. The adjacent unit also offers a sofa and a wood-burning stove. The bedroom in the adjacent unit is furnished with a queen-size bed and one single bed.



Each bedroom has access to its own kitchen and dining area, that comes complete with a kitchenette and a small dining table. Both kitchenettes come equipped with a mini-fridge, a tea kettle, a toaster, a microwave, and a two-burner stove. Outside, there is a large courtyard that makes the ideal spot for relaxing in the sunshine.



The property has a communal lodge which includes a dining area and an outdoor bar overlooking the water, which is perfect for a refreshment at the end of the day. There is also a shared courtyard with a fire pit and an adobe-style pizza oven for outdoor cooking.
