Charming Family-Friendly Cottage on an Organic Farm near Kaikoura, New Zealand

This charming family cottage is located in the open countryside on the edge of the town of Kaikoura in New Zealand and accommodates up to four adults and children (max: five guests + baby). There are two bedrooms and a bathroom. In the first bedroom, guests will find a double bed with electric blankets, a single bed, and a travel cot. The second bedroom features a double bunk bed on the bottom and a single bed above, ideal for children. In the bathroom, there is a shower and a basin, while the toilet is separate. Linens, towels, and toiletries are provided. Bathroom robes are provided in adult sizes and guests can purchase these from the host if they wish. The cottage is ideal for families as there is no charge for bringing a baby and the host can provide a portable cot, a high chair, a changing unit, and a baby bath.



In the full kitchen, guests will find a glass top oven, a microwave, a rice cooker, an electric frying pan, a kettle, a toaster, and a fridge/freezer.



In the lounge, there is a flat-screen HDTV with digital Freeview satellite television and a Blu-ray player (for which the host has a library of over 700 movies), air conditioning and heat pump device (with infra-red controller), and a wood-burning fireplace with free firewood during winter. Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi and a clean air system which brings hot filtered air from the roof space into the cottage and filters out pollen and dust. Outside, there is parking for three cars or a boat, and access to the shared gas barbecue.



Outside offers a large garden, with a gas barbecue, a gas pizza oven and outdoor tables and chairs. Glampers will have exclusive access to the host's private collection of farm animals including llamas, pigs, alpaca, sheep, deer, ducks and chickens.



A continental breakfast is available for a small additional cost (booked directly in advance, or at check-in), and includes: a selection of breakfast cereals, a loaf of bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, homemade jam, and seasonal fruit and farm-fresh eggs when available.
