With almost no light pollution you can enjoy an incredibly beautiful starry sky The Milky Way is clearly visible to the naked eye
A habitat for Yaeyama fireflies is within walking distance and you can enjoy a fantastic sight in season The environment is protected by Ishigaki Citys nature conservation regulations
Mt Omoto which is also the origin of the villas name is the highest peak in Okinawa Prefecture It is within walking distance of the trailhead making it ideal as a base for serious mountain climbing and trekking
