Renewed Hope Homes was inspired by my own journey of starting over after a life-changing injury. What began as part of a new chapter for me has grown into creating welcoming homes where guests can relax, recharge, and feel at home.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighbourhood because it offers the best of both worlds — a quiet, established residential area while still being close to everything. Guests can walk to downtown Whitby’s shops, cafés and restaurants, with easy access to the GO Station and major highways for exploring Durham Region or heading into Toronto.

I also loved the property itself. The bungalow layout, large lot and spacious backyard gave me the opportunity to create comfortable, separate spaces and a backyard oasis where guests can relax and unwind.

It’s a great home base whether you’re visiting family, attending a local sports tournament or event, working in the area, or exploring the GTA. Being close to home also allows me to stay involved and make sure the property is well cared for.

What makes this property unique

What makes this home special is the combination of character, comfort and thoughtful design. I wanted to preserve the charm of the original bungalow, including its hardwood floors and mid-century feel, while adding modern conveniences throughout.

The home features two comfortable king bedrooms with matching beds, a separate workspace, a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, new appliances, plenty of natural light, and blackout curtains for a great night’s sleep.

One of my favourite features is the large, private backyard. It was designed as an extension of the home, with a hot tub, pergola, BBQ, outdoor seating, gardens and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Pets are welcome too!

The location adds to the experience — you can walk to downtown Whitby, the library, restaurants, cafés and the seasonal farmers’ market. The Whitby GO Station is about 2 km away for trips into Toronto, and Thermea Spa Village is just a short drive away.

Most importantly, I’ve tried to think about the little things that make travelling easier. Guest comfort and experience are incredibly important to me, and my goal is for the home to feel welcoming, relaxing and easy from the moment you arrive.
