About this property

Birch Tree Lodge - 6BR Killington lodge with 6.5 baths and shuttle stop

The first question many groups ask about a house for 16 is how many bathrooms it has. At The Birch Tree Lodge, every one of the six upstairs bedrooms has its own full bathroom. Nobody has to carry a shower bag down the hall or wait for another family to finish.

The floor plan

All six bedrooms are upstairs. The first floor holds the kitchen, dining room, fireplace lounge, and both TV rooms. Early risers can make breakfast downstairs while the sleeping floor stays quiet.

The oversized kitchen has full-size appliances, cookware, dishes, and a long stretch of counter for group meals. The long dining table is used for meals, cards, and planning the next day. After dinner, some guests can settle into the main TV room with sectional seating while others use the smaller TV room. That smaller room also has games, which is why it may be called the game room. The stone fireplace lounge has an electric fireplace and separate seating.

Sleeping arrangements

Bedroom 1: one king bed, one twin daybed, and a private full bathroom
Bedroom 2: one king bed and a private full bathroom
Bedroom 3: one single bed, one twin bunk bed, and a private full bathroom
Bedroom 4: one king bed and a private full bathroom
Bedroom 5: one king bed and a private full bathroom
Bedroom 6: two queen beds and a private full bathroom

A half bathroom off the kitchen brings the total to 6.5 bathrooms. Maximum occupancy is 16 guests.

Location and transportation

The lodge is on Killington Road. The year-round mountain shuttle stops directly out front, and restaurants and nightlife are within walking distance. Flat access makes arrivals straightforward in any season. The property has parking for up to 50 vehicles, which is useful when families or friends arrive separately.

Mountain and ski trail views are visible from the property. Skiing may be the obvious reason to come, but the location also works for hiking, golf, and fall foliage trips.

Cooling, WiFi, and check-in

Each upstairs bedroom has a window air-conditioning unit. Several bedrooms also have ceiling fans. The house has heat, an electric fireplace, a washer and dryer, a propane grill, 250+ Mbps WiFi, and reliable cell service.

Guests use a private smart lock for 24-hour self check-in. Simple Vacation Rentals manages the property locally. Before arrival, we will send your Boarding Pass with WiFi information, shuttle details, house instructions, and local recommendations. Your smart lock code will appear in your Boarding Pass two hours before check-in.
