We had an enjoyable time being with family. We went on a nature walk and saw wild turkeys, bunnies, and a moose not far from the cabin. We were there mostly to relax and unwind and this cabin did not disappoint.
I’ve never left a negative review but this one really made me feel it was necessary.
- Grime build up on surfaces
- Old dried bowl of spaghetti in closet
- Bottles and Trash all over the yard
- Washer Machine did not work
- Grill did not work
- Sauna door is not set properly and allows too much hot air to escape.
The sad part is I could honestly keep going on that list. The home and neighborhood are simply amazing but this place is just not being managed properly. Windows, counters, railings and almost all surfaces need to be cleaned.
If the host would like to make this right our wedding party would love any type of refund.

Cool spacious cabin!
Overall we enjoyed our family stay at the cabin. We stayed for three nights (May 4 - May 7).
There were some things that we noticed:
- Very spacious: we were 12 adults and 4 kids, we had plenty of room still.
- Pathways were not clean: When we arrived, we had to clear the path of snow to the entrance/porch of the cabin and in the back to the sauna. Only the parking lot was clean.
- NO HOT WATER: This was the main issue for us. Since we arrived, the hot water in the showers would work for a minute or two then go completely cold. We tried to troubleshoot the problem ourselves but no luck. The property manager offered to have someone come fix it the day before we left but we figured we'd make due for the last day. Huge inconvenience.
- Fire pit not exposed: we would have liked to used the fire pit but it was covered by snow still.
- Damaged games: Some of the game tables were broken which was a bummer. The cornhole was nice though! Plenty of board games too.
- Cleanliness upon arrival wasn't great: When we arrived, there were some spider webs and dust. Didn't appear like it was cleaned well for us.
- Paved road to cabin closed: This was another inconvenience because we had to take the rough dirt road up the hill/mountain. Only 4x4 trucks with good tires can make it up there. Some of us had cars which we had to leave down by the mailboxes for us. We would have appreciated a heads up.
For the price, we expected a better but still was nice!
We gifted the rental if this cabin to our adult children and their families for Christmas. It was well worth the wait! The cabin and location was beautiful and remote. We had such a good time relaxing and playing the many activities provided and the outdoor sauna was a hit!! We saw a lot of wildlife while relaxing on the deck and the grandchildren climbed the mountain behind the cabin a couple times. We would definitely stay again if the occasion permits!!
My wife and I rented this property for a family reunion with our kids and grandkids. The scenery and views were beautiful. The grandkids liked playing among the trees and walking the trails on the hill behind the house. The amenities were very generous. We felt very comfortable like we were at a home away from home. A big storm limited our time outdoors, but there were plenty of games and things to do inside. We were very happy with our stay.
Amenities galore! Everyone had plenty to do. We loved being in the forest and hot tubbing during the storms. They had everything we needed and more. We loved our stay and definitely will be back.
We had a group of friends and adult siblings in town for a wedding so spent the weekend playing games and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The listing did appear to be more secluded so we were surprised to find how close it was to some other cabins in the area but was still enough away that noise didn’t bleed too much.
The cabin itself was so accommodating and clean! And the beds were all so comfy! I think the best part was the kitchen because it was stocked with all of the utensils and materials we needed and the space was perfect for cooking group meals.
All in all, our stay was just what we needed and we had a truly incredible time.
This cabin was perfect for our big family! We loved the mountain views There was plenty of room for dinner get togethers. We enjoyed sitting outside on the picnic tables. The grandkids loved the games, such as air hockey, fooseball, ping pong, and the arcade was a hit.
From the moment we arrived at the cabin blanketed in snow, I knew this was the perfect “winter” spring break getaway for my family. The cabin had more than enough space for our group of 8 (4 adults and 3 smallish children) and yet still felt very homey. The kids loved the various activities in the main loft, especially the foosball table, air hockey and the arcade style NBA Jams video counsel. My mother (Grammy) who has a bad knee was able to stay in one of the two bedrooms on the main level with easy access to the bathroom and kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the huge bunk beds to sleep on.
Since my me, my wife and kids are from Hawaii, we were a little worried about the cabin being too cold, but there were plenty of extra blankets in one of the many closets and cabinets in the cabin (which we didn’t really need since it was plenty warm - actually had to turn down the heat most nights). The gas fireplace was definitely a welcomed touch after a busy day of outdoor playing - hanging out and talking on the couches.
The cabin is well equipped with most things you would need, including common salt, pepper, seasoning, etc. as well as all the pots, pans and tupperware you’d need for your food. Everything is easy to find and logically placed around the kitchen and pantry.
The kids also loved playing in the snow around the property with no shortage of hills to slide down on the various sleds, toboggan and tubes left by prior guests. It really was a winter wonderland outside.
As the listing mentions, a 4X4 or all wheel drive vehicle is a MUST. We also had tire chains just in case - which is important to have as even though we took the less-steep route, there are parts of the roads that get quite steep and slippery so you need to be careful. It took us about 15 min to get to the main highway from the cabin on average so factor that in.
Not only is the area very beautiful, scenic and tranquil, but full of the nicest people. Just about every person that we saw up there was friendly. They would wave from their cars, while walking their dogs, or even sitting on their porch. We’d always wave back! We felt very welcomed!
Our host Grant was great! Always answered my questions quickly and clearly. Made the stay even that much more relaxed and comfortable. Mahalo Grant!
Loved the coziness and the rustic feel of the cabin. However the roads to get to the cabin are difficult to navigate without four wheel drive. The views and setting are spectacular!
My family and I spent three wonderful days enjoying each other’s company . We had a chance to talk, laugh and catch up in a beautiful mountain setting. Can’t say enough good things about the property and owner, Grant. Hopefully, we can spend another weekend in the near future.

This is exactly what a VRBO experience should be. Simple check-in process, responsive host, amazing property. It is as beautiful as the photos, the internet is fast, and the sauna was a blast.
Thanks Grant!
We enjoyed our time immensely! Everything was very clean and easy to find. We especially enjoyed the variety of games and activities in the cabin for a rainy day. Would stay here again.
The location of the cabin was not ideal, and was rather tricky to get to. We had a really great stay here despite some problems accessing the cabin itself!
We came here with our family and it was perfect! We had young kids and the backyard was perfect for sledding, building snowmen, and snowball fights. The cabin is large and has so many great accommodations. We definitely will come back.
We loved having our coffee in the morning on the decks watching the moose and deer. We ate every meal outside thanks to the amazing deck. The great room was amazing to gather in. What a wonderful way to disconnect from the busyness of life and slow down. Thank you so much!!!
