We had a great time with our stay, perfect set up for our family of 6! Access to indoor or outdoor pools, right on the beach is really a dream for families who don’t want to lug all the beach stuff far with their kiddos. Also being on the water made it easy to go back and forth from beach to pool if the kids were bored. We truly had a great time!
We enjoyed being on the beach, using the hot tub and pool. The room was lovely, but needs a few fixing. The table was very wobbly and too small for the four chairs. The bathroom outlet didn’t work. We managed! Would love to go back but I’ll have hesitation with the management. They need to have staff clean stairways and the decks.. Other than that, we did enjoy staying.
The Ocean Mist is a great place in a great location, central to nearly all of Cape Cod.
Clean rooms, clean pools, fire pit at night, cute private beach. I would definitely come here again, but I would prepare a bit differently.
The advertisement claimed a kitchenette with a small cooktop. This is true, but it didn't work. Add to that there was no cookware, cups, plates, utensils, etc. the cupboards were bare.
I brought a cooler with some breakfast stuff so we could at least make some eggs, or a bowl of cereal in the morning, the fridge worked, so at least I brought the food home, but we ended up going out to breakfast both days we were there. Not a deal breaker by any means, but an annoyance.

Not a luxury experience
This is a nice property, but not as “luxury” as advertised. Check in was a nightmare. We arrived at 3:20 (fully aware check in is at 4:00) just to fill out check in paperwork and get our parking pass. We were told to come by at 4:00 to pick up keys. We came back at 4:10 and the lobby was full of upset people. No rooms were ready, and they were giving no estimates as to how long it would be. People were hot, angry and not getting any help.
The beach is beautiful, just perfect. The pool is good, but small. The rooms are out dated, musty and sparsely appointed. There is a small kitchenette that has absolutely nothing but a single burner that didn’t work. On the first night we went to fasten our safety hinge lock on the door. It immediately fell out of the plastic molding. There was no key access on the main entry doors, so anyone could gain access to the room floors. We came back one day with a note on our door saying housekeeping was not able to service our room due to staff shortages. I can understand that, but when we called to ask for more towels, we got an attitude. When they did come to clean our room two days later, they only made the beds and vacuumed. The bathroom wasn’t touched. Mirror and sink not clean, and the shower was untouched. Neither TV worked.
If you are able to spend all your time at the beach, it is ok. If it rains and you have to spend time in the room, not great at all.
Location of the property was amazing. Staff at the property were very friendly. I was was very happy that they were able to provide a pack and play for the baby to sleep in. Condo was nice but a bit tired. The sink in the bathroom got clogged on the first day and needs immediate attention.
Photos of the property are outdated, as there is an in-ground pool and fire-pit area as well as a concrete embankment at the edge of the beach, consuming the dune area depicted in property photos. The beach area is shallow and many 'private beach' signs appear as one starts to walk in either direction. Unit was smaller than anticipated. The outdoor hot tub was "broken" on a Friday and by Monday morning was still not operational, which was a huge disappointment and quite franky one of the reasons I chose this property. We were told by front desk staff that the hot tub was closed due to COVID (in mid-June 2021, after COVID restrictions in MA had been lifted), despite the lack of any signage whatsoever, even an Out of Order signs, so I knew this was not true. This is not a luxury accommodation. Common areas were not cleaned regularly.
Great beachfront hotel conveniently located to all mid Cape points of interest. Chowder house just down the road was awesome. It was cold when we were there. Met nice people around the fire pit. Will definitely go back.
Great location, right on the water. Rooms had ocean views with 2 balconies, and very spacious. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again.

Would Visit Again
The room was as expected. Was disappointed with the indoor pool as it had a bit of a funky smell (they have carpet in there). Other than that, all was great.
