Even weg uit de drukte

Fijne ontvangst door Didier. Hij kwam ook geregeld eens kijken of alles nog steeds naar wens was. Goed uitgeruste keuken en dit huis is een fijne plek om even weg te zijn.

Une première visite en Belgique

Un hôte présent et aux petits soins. Accueil chaleureux autour d'un verre de vin blanc bien frais, sans oublier les pralines, belges comme il se doit. Logement en parfait état, de tout confort et un calme remarquable qui invite à la grasse matinée. Séjour trop court pour découvrir toutes les richesses de la région de Liège.

Wonderful

I really loved my stay at Le Francanne. My hosts were kind and helpful. The kitchen and bath were very modern and nice looking, with modern appliances. I also used the washer and dryer upstairs a couple of times, and that was nice to be able to use. There was lots of thoughtful tech. Window shades lowered and raised on a timer. The light on the stairway came on and turned off automatically, so I never had to worry about finding a switch for that. The heat worked great so I never had to worry about that. There were 3 electronic switches for the bedroom lights, one by the door and on each side of the bed, so that was very convenient. There was also a nightstand light that was very convenient. There were plenty of outlets for my tech gear. There were lots of thoughtful things in the apartment, including a shopping bag. The neighborhood was very quiet and I always felt safe. It was an easy drive to the supermarket and other stores, and also the main street of Flemalle with restaurants and banks. I had originally thought of staying in downtown Liege. I’m glad I didn’t do that. I drove there once and the traffic in downtown Liege was a nightmare. From Le Francanne google maps would take me around the outside of Liege so I didn’t have to deal with that traffic. I used my stay at Flemalle to travel to WWII battlefields in the area and tourist spots in the Netherlands. It was a good central location for that.
