SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS...
This romantic getaway is located on the 3rd story of the mansion above a set of spiral staircases. Find your well awaited, intimate suite with a unique design of dramatic, dormered ceilings within this charming attic space. A private balcony boasts breathtaking views of the pool and surrounding beauty. A king bed with cozy linens call your name with a flat screen TV, Keurig coffee maker and mini fridge nearby. A private ensuite full bathroom with a shower is just steps away also showcasing steeping slopes. This room is also equipped with a cozy sofa sleeper and a writing table for those journaling their Key West story.

OUTDOOR LIVING...
Convenient off street parking is provided on a first come first serve basis even though you are located just a short walk or bike ride to everything on Duval St. Catch some rays out on the breezy 2nd floor sun deck with plenty of loungers overlooking the shimmering, shared pool below.

It is first come first serve and if there is not a space available upon arrival you may park on the street in front for free (do not park in a residential permit space!) until one becomes available, or even for the length of your stay.

Clean, Cozy and Convenient!

Loved the extra space in this unit! The little living room area was a nice place to relax after a day out in the sun. The 2 spiral staircases were not my favorite but it was as described and it allowed for more privacy being on the 3rd floor. The space was very clean and the innkeepers were very communicative. The shower height was not ideal for my husband (5’9”) but again we saw the pictures and knew it would be tight. We made it work. The common spaces were well appointed and clean. The whole place was pretty quiet, which was nice. There’s a bike rental place right down the block, I highly recommend that over driving around. Overall 10/10 for our first stay in Key West!

Interesting, unique,but a bit challenging

A unique property with descent access to Duval Street. Situated in an historic home, the hosts provides for common access to the first floor and it lovely amenities. Our room was on the third floor and reached by steep spiral stairs that are only safe for those in good shape and moderate body size. Our unit offered lovely views and tree top breezes, but was limited by sloping walls, including in the shower.

Charming Accommodations

Very nice large room with a sitting room, desk, comfortable king bed, mini frig, nice private deck, clean, cozy, warm pool, charming house with lots of common space to use. It’s about 3 blocks to Duval St. We knew ahead of time that the spiral stairs to get to the third floor would require us to take smaller suitcases. We also knew the bathroom is tight and the shower would be hard to use if someone was over 6 feet. We would stay here again. We loved the Moon Dog restaurant nearby.

Would definitely suggest packing light if staying in that suite. Things to know that I didn’t. Wine glasses and dishes are in main, shared kitchen. There are floats in the pool for your use. Bike rental a block away. Duval is 1/2 mile easy walk away.

"Treetop suite" - a priceless Key West experience

This special “treetop suite” was amazing. I was worried about the spiral steps at first but they honestly added to the experience. The room is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. We had no challenges with the angles in the bathroom and thought it was fun and quirky! Having the Keurig in the room as well as a refrigerator was perfect. I would go to the kitchen of the main house each morning and replenish what we needed for the next day. The balcony was enjoyed each morning with a cup of coffee and the Key West breeze. Communication from the property manager was absolutely perfect. They were kind and accommodating and I knew they were a text away.

The shared spaces offer cool and refreshing area to relax and meet other guests. The pool was well kept and the perfect spot to hang out during the hottest part of the day. Even though there are other people on the same property, the Treetop Retreat was very private and we never heard anyone when in our room. The shower was no problem for us, but may be if you are tall. My husband is 5'10" and did not mind it. The staff does a wonderful job with the upkeep of the property. I would definitely stay here again!

Eagles nest

This particular apartment is not suitable for 80 year old. Must climb a spiral stairwell to get to the third floor which has slanted ceilings that you run into all the time. Where do you get water or not is questionable. One morning all we could get was hot water. Sink didn’t work. You can fill it up with water and take a while for it to empty. Plumber looked at it said it wasn’t anything wrong with it. Wonder where he got his license. Apartment needs a microwave. It’s too much to climb to go up them round steps to get back down to heat a serial bowl.

Has Potential

We stayed in the ARIA which is the treetop room. The only A/C is a window unit which would be fine except it is the the alcove so it only really cools that area. It took 3 days of it going consistently at like 65 for the entire room to feel decent. There is a 5 light figure over the bedroom part that could easily be a ceiling fan instead which would greatly help. Also there really isn't any warning about how the bathroom/shower is. I'm 5'6 and had a difficult time using it, so you can imagine how hard it was for my 6 foot husband. While the spiral staircase is a wonderful feature it is a much tighter spiral then it looks and getting luggage up/down is not easy. Lastly the location is a little further away from things then it seems. While Duval Street is only 0.5 mile away you still have to walk another 1-2 miles down it to really get to things.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was clean and cute. Room was cool, which we were nervous about since it’s basically located in the attic. We were surprised to see the patio under construction. Although construction didn’t start until 9 am, it was still loud as we were hoping to get some extra rest. When we booked, we missed the very skinny spiral staircase to get room. Careful as those stairs are narrow and challenging to maneuver. The biggest hurdle was showering. We knew the shower was going to be a bit of challenge due to the pictures, however the water pressure was non existent the water temperature was either way too hot or cold. There was a sign that stated they were working on it and to try different times to shower or take a bath. We showered at all hours trying to find the sweet spot with no luck. If you’re looking for a dark room in the morning, this isn’t it. There’s pretty sky lights, however they let in a ton of light. Overall it was a nice stay and the place was clean, but did have more kinks than we would have liked.
