Charming, authentic Cabanon, available year-round, idyllically situated on a nearly 7000m ² of wooded land, the small road leads to the Castle de Sade in Lacoste. Private, quiet surroundings, but only a few 100m from the village. Two comfortable rooms (one above the other) of 20m ² each with access to the garden where you can listen to the cicadas in summer. The garden is wild and mostly natural. First floor: living room / kitchen. Lower floor: bedroom / shower / WC. Parking on the property in front of the house. The house has a lift and biotank.

Be part of Provence...

It was a little difficult to imagine what exactly the property would be like from the photos, not because the photos are inaccurate, but because it's quite unusual and so full of its own unique qualities: e.g., it's bigger than it looks and curiously situated on the edge of a shallow quarry. The Cabanon is situated on the boundary between village life and wild woods and sculptural stone. It's ideal for what I needed: a quiet, peaceful place to be lazy — lounge in the sun or shade; to read, write, set off on expeditions to neighbouring villages; to engage in undisturbed runs each evening. I'd always had a reservation about Provence being posh-snobby, but found the Petit Luberon (the region) a completely wonderful mix of little bits of civilization and cultivation carved out of near wilderness. I fell in love and the property supported the affair! As I explored I discovered a path across the valley from Lacoste to Bonnieux and every other day I'd wander over for a glass of delightful rosé in the Club du Vin. The variations in landscape, the sudden views across the hills to Ventoux were a constant source of joy. If it seems that I'm celebrating the region more than the property, I find it hard to separate the two. The simple, clean welcome of the property integrated into the trees and rock made it and the region one. Praising the daily delights of the land and people is praise of the Cabanon, which kept me grounded and in touch with both. This is not a "grand" property; it doesn't overwhelm the location or your enjoyment of it. The kitchen, dining, sitting area is simple, countrified and with the door open, inside and outside flow into each other perfectly. The stairs down to the lower, bedroom floor are a bit steep and one needs to be cautious, but again it reflected the streets of Lacoste, which call for attention but reflect the spirit of place. The bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor, can also be left open onto the lower level of the quarry and provide simple comfort with light/shade and air moving between the two. This is an unusual property; not one for housebound seekers of luxury. It's better than that. Much much better. Stay and become part of Provence!

Cadre agréable bien qu’isolé mais la maison s’est révélée ne pas être en trés bon état, les portes ne s’ouvraient pas facilement et on avait des difficultés à ouvrir et fermer, serrures trop près des murs, difficultés à tourner la clé , il fallait de plus pousser la porte avec les genoux ou autre, seul mon mari y arrivait avec difficulté. Un jour vers midi en rentrant, on a été obligé de se mettre à deux à pousser la porte qui s’est ouverte avec difficulté, nous avons commencé à déjeûner dehors, la porte était entr’ouverte il y a eu un coup de vent et avec un courant d’air de la chambre du bas, la porte s’est fermée, peu inquiets nous avons continués notre repas quand je suis allée chercher le dessert, la porte était bloquée, le verrou était fermé. Il avait dû rester en équilibre entre fermeture et ouverture et au claquement de la porte il s’est fermé. Nous étions dehors par 35 et un verre d’eau et les clés à l’intérieur. La dame qui s’occupait de la location était absente, nous sommes descendus au village où il y a une épicerie mais fermée, nous avons demandé s’il y avait un serrurier à un passant, il y en avait peut être un à 35km .. Retournés au gîte dans la chaleur et sans eau, un monsieur qui passait a dit, après avoir vu le verrou fermé, que la seule solution était de casser le carreau et il nous a prêté un pied de biche, après être restés 4 heures dans la chaleur et sans eau nous avons cassé le carreau.

Ein Traum

Wir waren schon so oft in der Provence und doch werden wir immer wieder überrascht. Wer ein einfaches, provenzalisches Haus in wunderschöner Umgebung sucht ist genau richtig. Wer mit Hunden fährt sollte sich im klaren sein dass es im Hochsommer sehr warm ist und Katzen für sie kein Problem darstellen.Herzlichen Dank für die wunderschöne Zeit.

Top-Lage: Sehr schönes kleines Haus für Naturliebhaber

Das urige kleine Häuschen ist ideal für Menschen (mit Hund), die das Leben in und mit der Natur lieben. Es ist geschmackvoll, individuell und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Einfach, aber alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Die Dusche sowie das Bad sind gerade erst erneuert worden. Die Lage ist ideal, ruhige Alleinlage und nur zehn Minuten zu Fuß bis in das Dorf Lacoste. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben den Aufenthalt dort genossen.

Ein Traum in der Natur

Es war eine wunderbare Zeit. Der Tag bgann mit Frühstück unter Steineichen und endete mit 1-2 Glas Wein auf der rustikalen Terrasse nach dem Abendspaziergang zum Chateau des Sadisten. Wunderbare Aussicht auf den Luberon vom Restaurant Café de France in Lacoste bei wohlschmeckenden Gerichten.Wir erlebten eine wunderbare Landschaft, schöne Dörfer und bunte Märkte. Très merveilleux.

Erholung pur - einfach schön!

Das Cabanon ist wie beschrieben, ebenso Grundstück und Lage. Wir hatten einen sehr erholsamen ruhigen Urlaub und haben die Wochen in Lacoste und Umgebung sehr genossen. Perfektes Haus für Naturliebhaber und Ruhesuchende, die eine ursprüngliche Umgebung und den Charakter der Provence schätzen. Das Haus ist liebevoll mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt, die Gastgeberin supernett und vor Ort ist die Betreuung perfekt! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Hat vollstens unsere Erwartungen erfüllt

Wir hatten wunderschöne 2 Wochen in dem gepflegten und liebevoll eingerichteten Häuschen. Für zwei Personen ideal. vor allem, wenn man die Natur liebt und für sich sein will. Der Garten ein Traum, um morgens in den Tag zu starten und abends sich wohl zu fühlen nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr schön, man kann abends noch vor zum Schloss von Lacoste laufen und etwas in die Weite schauen oder noch eine Runde durchs Dörfchen drehen um im Café de France einen Pastis zu sich nehmen. Wir hatten die Rennräder dabei und haben auch schöne Touren in der Region gemacht, direkt am Haus gestartet. Man muss dann immer gegen Ende noch ein paar Höhenmeter machen, um wieder zuhause zu sein, aber auch fürs Radeln ideal gelegen. Sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man für sich in der Natur sein will und eine kleine Oase sucht, von der aus man die Provence in alle Richtungen erkunden kann.

Mauvais souvenir !

Nous sommes partis mon compagnon et moi dans ce logement, pour passer de bonne vacances, malheureusement ce ne fut pas le cas.. Lundi soir, nous avons détecter la présence d’un nid de frelons aux alentours de l’hébergement et nous avons été contraints par la suite de passer une nuit à l’hôtel. Nous avons demandé un remboursement de la nuitée mais la propriétaire étant étrangère, étais très difficile à joindre dans ce moment. Martine, la voisine qui nous avais accueilli n’avais même pas la connaissance de son numéro de téléphone.. Nous avons relancé notre demande de remboursement 1 mois après notre séjour, et la propriétaire s’est permis de nous rembourser seulement 65€, car soit disant il y avait des « taches »sur les draps alors que lors de l’état des lieux tout avait été regardé et validé par la voisine. De plus, je parle même de la propreté inexistante dans ces lieux, si vous aimez les insectes vous allez être servis, araignée, fourmis et puce de lit s’y sont bien installés. Bref, tous ça pour dire que je ne recommande absolument pas ce logement.

La maison est entourée de beaucoup de nature. Oui, il y a des araignées et des fourmis, je ne peux et ne veux pas les tuer en utilisant des insecticides en permanence. Mais il n'y a PAS de puces de lit. C'est un mensonge éhonté ! Pourquoi ne l'avez-vous pas dit pendant votre séjour, mais seulement des semaines plus tard ? Vous acceptez ainsi que les clients suivants y soient confrontés ! S'il y avait des puces de lit chez vous, vous les avez manifestement emportées dès votre départ ! Les lits sont d'ailleurs régulièrement lavés, c'est très important pour moi. Concernant le problème des frelons : vous m'avez envoyé un message le soir à 22h17, que je n'ai lu que le matin, puis vous m'avez immédiatement répondu dans votre langue nationale. En tant qu'étrangère, je me suis immédiatement occupée de faire venir un professionnel le jour même. Mais celui-ci n'a pas pu trouver de nid de frelons. Cela m'a coûté de l'argent pour rien ! Je vous avais préalablement proposé le remboursement de la nuit passée hors de la maison en raison de la présence supposée d'un nid de frelons. Mais comme il n'y avait PAS de nid de frelons, je ne voyais pas l'intérêt de vous envoyer un remboursement. Après que vous m'ayez recontacté, je vous ai quand même envoyé un paiement, par bonne volonté, pour ensuite recevoir cette évaluation de votre part !!! Oui, je me suis permis de retenir les frais de nettoyage du couvre-lit suite aux taches de sang. Je ne peux malheureusement pas vous recommander, même en tant que locataire.

Reizendes Häuschen in herrlicher Umgebungen

traumhaftes kleines Haus mit herrlichem Garten

Viel schöner als auf den Bildern ist dieses kleine Haus in einen traumhaften Garten eingebettet. Es ist ruhig gelegen, trotzdem nur wenige hundert Meter vom Schloss Lacoste entfernt. Das Grundstück scheint ein ehemaliger Steinbruch zu sein, der bewachsen mit Steineichen, Zypressen Kiefern und zahlreichen Büschen eine Oase der Ruhe darstellt. Im unteren Garten blühen im Juni Mohn, Zistrosen, Kräuter und Lavendel geben ihre Düfte ab... wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt - eine Woche war zu wenig. In der Umgebung gibt es viele schöne Orte und Kirchen, Schluchten zum Wandern und Märkte, die das herz des Genießers höher schlagen lassen. Die Vermieterin ist immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Es ist ein perfektes Domizil um die Provence zu erkunden. Einfache, gute Infrastruktur; wir haben nichts vermisst. Tipp zur Optimierung: Infoordner* wäre hilfreich. *= Inbetriebnahme des Wifi, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, etc....

Ferien in Lacoste

Wir hatten eine wunderbare, erholsame Zeit in Lacoste und können uns den vorangegangenen Bewertungen nur anschließen! Das Häuschen ist bezaubernd, die Wanderungen, die teilweise direkt am Haus gestartet werden können (Lacoste - Bonnieux, durch das Tal und zurück) oder mit kurzer Autofahrt in den Zedernwald, waren sensationell. Danke Michaela, auch für die einfache und super nette Kommunikation!

Huisje om binnen te blijven

Het huisje op zichzelf was prima, alles was er en hoewel sommige dingen gammel waren (sloten op de deuren die niet werkten, douchestang die nogal los zat), was het een prima verblijf voor een week. Buiten daarentegen was het niet goed. De twee ligstoelen waren gescheurd en het hele terrein was van rotsachtige steen: heel oneffen, heel warm en erg ongezellig. Naast het huisje was een klein gestort terras, maar daar stonk het naar riool. Schaduwplekken waren er nauwelijks.

Dear Anja, thank you for your review. That helps me getting better. Sorry for the sunbeds! I did not know that up to now. Non of the guests had reported it so far. For the door lock and the shower rod I will take care of. For sun protection there is a parasol and an awning in the house. There are also some groups of trees only a few meters around the house under which you can nicely sit in the shadow. The rocks around you could have seen on all the pictures from outside. This is a special feature of the place. Too bad, you didn't like it. And yes, it can be very hot in summer in Provence. Best regards, Michaela
