The house is located on Lough Derg between meadows, moor and woods, far from other tourists. Large bay windows allow a wonderful view of the sea, where our motorboat is moored. The living area is divided up into a large living room and a dining room with fireplace. Extra cots and inflatable mattresses are available if needed.

The location is amazing, the property had everything you need for an amazing stay. Absolutely picturesque and tranquil. The hosts where amazing to deal with and quick to respond to all questions. Couldn't fault is and will return again.

This was an amazing property with a nostalgic feel to it. I recommend getting up at dawn to watch the bats. For bikers the location is well secluded with an interesting track to the house we arrived in the dark.. I would suggest not taking the direct route on Google maps but follow the longer road. There was plenty of room for five of us and our gear and a well fitted kitchen. The only negative would be the water at the property which isn't drinkable with a strong metallic smell, but is ok for washing. If you are taking to the water in kayaks or canoeing a flag needs to be put up at the jetty which is completely hidden from the lake by the reeds.That said we all agreed we would come back again if we were in the area.

Erholung pur

Wir haben uns im Spa Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Wer Ruhe Natur und Einsamkeit sucht ,ist da richtig. Ein Aufenthalt der unvergesslich bleibt. Bei Sonnenaufgang die Fledermäuse nach Hause fliegen zu sehen, Stille den See vor uns und die Tasse Kaffee in der Hand, die Seele baumeln lassen. Am Abend Kaminfeuer irische Musik und mit einem Glas Wein den Tag ausklingen lassen, war für uns ein MUß. Familie Kühn haben ein Kleinod geschaffen, Wenn es Probleme oder Hilfe braucht, steht Noel einem zur Seite. Wir bedanken uns bei Familie Kühn und Noel, für diese schöne Zeit und Erholung. Wer noch nie in Irland, war ...sollte lernen Zeit für alles mitzubringen. Wir waren zum fünften Mal in Irland, und dieses Haus ist etwas besonderes. Wir werden wieder kommen, Erholung pur. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sauber und hat seine eigene Geschichte. Auto ist Pflicht, 20 min Fahrzeit nach Portumna In dieser Kleinstadt bekommt man alles. Einfach perfekt

Schon öfters in diesem Haus gewesen und noch immer fasziniert von allem. Haus, Garten und das Boot sind einfach der Hammer. Man muss aber die Natur schon lieben. Wie immer alles bestens abgelaufen. Herzlichen Dank für alles.

Ruhe in der Natur

Wir haben ein paar entspannte Tage in dem Ferienhaus verbracht. Wegbeschreibung und Schlüssel Übergabe haben perfekt geklappt. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hat super geklappt. Alle Fragen wurden schnell beantwortet. Das Haus liegt in wunderschöner Natur direkt am See.

Für alle Ruhesuchenden das ideale Objekt. Die Anfahrt sollte man sich aber vor der Buchung beschreiben lassen, kann schon etwas abenteuerlich sein.

It's place not for families you not can drink or use water it's brown and stinky.

It's very far from the attractions. If you don't renting boat you will not have access to lake. For that price you can find something nicer for families with the kids. We was very disappointed 😞

We are very sorry that your expectations were not met. The house is very remote, as one can easily see from the map. There are, though, several ways to access the lake at our property. The water there is very shallow and sheltered by some belts of reed or club-rush, through which one would need to walk before swimming. We recommend using the public swimming place at Rossmore Quay, less than three kilometers down the road.

Beautiful spot

Fine house, large space. Beautiful location. In the middle of nowhere, peaceful. When you want to visit a Town or national park, always have to drive long. That is the only disadvantage.

Ruhe am See

Wir verbrachten eine wunderbare Woche in diesem Haus. Alles ist für Urlauber perfekt vorbereitet: viele Beschreibungen für die Geräte im Haus, Bücher, Spielzeug, DVDs - alles liebevoll bereitgestellt, und die vielen Ausflugstips waren hilfreich und spannend. Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Es ist nicht ganz leicht, das Haus zu finden und trotz der unmittelbaren Lage am See ist Schwimmen eher schwer. Aber wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Great place for a relaxing holiday

returned from spa house last week and overall we had a great stay, made plenty use of the boat and kids had a great time in the gardens, location was awesome although the interior of the house is in need of updating and could really be doing with a freezer and the water was pretty dicusting, but that aside we still had a great time

Perfekter Urlaub um zu genießen und sich vom Alltag zur erholen

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt für Familien, das Ferienhaus ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Man hat vieles vor Ort wie Spiele für die Kinder, Bücher, Spielzeug etc. Der Außenbereich ist der perfekte Spielplatz für Kinder es gibt viel zu entdecken und zu erleben.

Schöner Familien- und Angelurlaub

Wir hatten vom 26.7.- 4.8.2016 mit vier Erwachsenen und drei Kindern, alle drei 10 Jahre alt, einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in Ihrem Ferienhaus. Es liegt sehr ruhig und romantisch versteckt direkt am See. Die Kinder konnten sich richtig austoben, weil es keine Nachbarn gab die sich hätten gestört fühlen können. Für Hechtangler ein Angelparadies. Alles in allem können wir Ihr Ferienhaus mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Schöner Familienurlaub in Irland 2015

Wenn man das Ferienhaus erstmal gefunden hat will man von dort nicht mehr weg. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und durch den Kamin im Esszimmer kommt abends immer eine gemütliche Stimmung auf (bei Regentagen). Die Außenanlage wird durch nette Schilder beschrieben und die Kinder können ihrer Phantasie freien lauf lassen. Das Rausfahren mit den Boot ist das absolute Highlight. Ein Rundum schöner Familienurlaub. Dadurch das sich das Ferienhaus in der Mitte von Irland befindet kann man sehr gut Tagesausflüge machen. Und am Abend am Lagerfeuer mit einen Glas Rotwein mit Blick auf den See den Abend ausklingen lassen. Sehr zu empfehlen.
