Brookside Retreat - G100 at North Coast Village

Surround yourself with luxury and relaxation! This corner beach condo is located along a bubbling stream amid lush tropical foliage. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, single story condo. The charming ocean-inspired interior features a gorgeous wood-look tile fireplace, 1 love seat and a sectional with a queen sofa sleeper (updated 2024), . Quartz countertops and a subway tile backsplash enhance the gourmet kitchen, which is equipped with dishes, pots and pans, and serving pieces. The primary retreat has a new tiled tub/shower combo (updated 2024) and the second bedroom offers a tiled walk-in shower (updated 2024).

Make My Vacation also provides all linens and towels, beach chairs and beach towels. The Living Room TV is provided for your entertainment, as well as free wireless Internet.

North Coast Village offers billiards, ping pong, a new fitness center with sauna, and a barbecue area overlooking the pool for parties. It is located between the Oceanside Harbor and the Oceanside Pier, and is a favorite destination for people around the world. The complex consists of nine three-story buildings surrounded by 2-story cottages, on several acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. You are just steps from the sand; there are no roads to cross-this is an OCEANFRONT COMPLEX! Swim in the lagoon-style heated pool (one of two pools and spas), or enjoy a romantic walk on one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in Southern California. The apartment was nice with clear directions. There seemed to be no air conditioning so windows had to be open. The complex is in a noisy area and you could hear the street and train all night. You could also hear the ocean but sadly street noisy outside was noisy. I’d say I wouldn’t stay again because of this, it was hard to sleep. Pretty outside foliage though for anyone wanting to stay on the property.

We live in Tucson and invited our grandkids to stay with us in Oceanside for a week. This was the perfect space. They each had their own bed and there was room for their mom to spend the first two nights with them and dad the last two nights (kids are 5 and 7 from DC) They LOVED having the pool and hot tub, pool and foosball, and the BEACH RIGHT THERE! Everything is so convenient! Went to Legoland, Seaward and Birch Aquarium. The condo was equipped with everything we needed for quick meals, plus beach wagon, buckets and shovels, and towels. A great week with the kiddos. Thanks so much!

Perfect for a beachside getaway

Located inside a gated community with dedicated parking, this place has it ALL! The 2-bed, 2-bath is a great size. Huge pool, hot tub, mini-putt, ping-pong, pool table, library. . . so much on the property! AND it's literally steps from the sand. Book this place ASAP.

We enjoyed most of everything. The beds were comfortable. It was well stocked with what we needed. We loved the amenities, but we did have to wash the dishes before we could use them. There was stuck on hard cheese in the grater and a greasy film over the dishes. We washed them and enjoyed the rest of the trip.

Reviewer Comments: First I would say that I could tell the property was cleaned well, and the location was great; very close walkable beach access as well as beautiful grounds and a nice pool and large hot tub. The property seemed to be cleaned well, so I appreciated that. I am, however, up in the air on if I would stay there again purely because of the laundry situation. Obviously as a coastal area it was very humid and muggy, and while the property did have a washer and dryer in the condo, guests are not allowed to use it. I found that because of the humidity and the fact that beach and pool were the main things to do, we felt very wet all the time. Nothing ever dried, and even the floor and furniture seemed constantly wet. I felt like the use of the laundry or even just the dryer would have made the entire stay a million times more pleasant as we used wet towels and wore damp clothes the entire time. That one element unfortunately made what have been a great trip otherwise kind of miserable.

It’s just a short walk through the association grounds (a couple of minutes) to the beach and we didn’t sit inside anyway. Loved the location! Very clean and we found no problems. Beautiful grounds!! Parking garage is beneath the condo and an elevator makes getting your bags to the condo a snap. A side note, the beach towels supplied by the condo are found in a cabinet between the kitchen and bedroom. We didn’t find them until the last day as we were leaving, which again was no problem. We had our own. I highly recommend this place.

Awesome Rental Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time booking through this site and staying at this condo village, and we absolutely loved it! The place is actually bigger than it looks in the photos. The living room was bigger than hotel rooms we’ve stayed at. The rental provided the basics such as: bath towels, 6-8 beach towels, handbar soap, kitchen items (pots, pans, tongs, spatula, oven mitts, etc), bedding, extra blankets, beach gear (4 bulky beach chairs, 3 boogie boards, 2 swim tubes, and a wagon). (Note that the boogie boards and wagon have seen better days and may not survive much more use).I would recommend making sure to bring toiletries since they didn’t provide any (ie: shampoo, conditioner, body wash).We were told by family that the G building is close to the railroad, but despite it being close we only heard it once before midnight and that’s it. It wasn’t even loud or a problem. The master bedroom faces the pond and when you open the windows at night it provides a soothing sound to fall asleep to. We had our doubts, but these two factors ended up not being a problem at all. We are definitely booking this place for next year - everyone in the family loved it!

Love North Coast Village

Our family loves North Coast Village. We have very young children so being close to the beach and having a swimming pool makes North Coast Village a wonderful vacation spot. The unit itself was good. We were a little disappointed about how the unit was cleaned prior to our arrival (the floor was very dirty as well as the freezer and utensils in the kitchen) but we contacted management and they said that they could get that taken care of. We ended up cleaning up most stuff on our own because we had children who were napping and couldn't leave the condo. But we were grateful for the response and willingness to resolve the issue provided by the management. The beds were comfortable, the couches not so much but we didn't mind because we didn't need to use those for sleeping. Being on the first floor made it nice for packing and unpacking our things. You are very close to the stairs. We didn't need to use the beach "toys" because we brought our own so I can't really review their quality. Overall, after the cleaning issue, we had a wonderful stay.

Always a good vacation in Oceanside

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has vacationed in the Oceanside area 4 times and we have always had a great time. The North Coast village property is a perfect location. They have beautiful landscaping and a great pool / spa area. And you can’t beat the proximity to the beach. This unit was adequate for our needs. There were some improvements that would have made it better. The bathrooms were a bit outdated. Some new toilets, tub and tiling would go a long way! Also the master bedroom really needs some black out curtains. The light coming from the walk way outside was extremely bright. While the master bed was comfortable the beds in the 2nd room where my kids slept were rickety. Overall this did not put a damper on our vacation and we had a wonderful time. This was our 2nd time staying at North Coast Village and we would definitely stay at the complex again. The check in and out process with Make My Vacation was extremely easy and while we had no problems while we were there the app seemed like a fast way to get ahold of anyone should you need to.

Overall good stay

Overall our stay was positive but some areas of improvement: THE GOOD - unit exactly as pictured & good size, gated community, lovely & well kept grounds, parking garage was clean & safe, laundry room nicest I’ve seen, beach is great with awesome views, close proximity to many things THE BAD: unit is in bad need of maintena..livingroom furniture were filthy and need cleaning or to be replaced. Pads on deck chairs are badly stained/dirty. Areas that need to be painted in master bath, closet where it’s been patched or chipped. Stove needs replacement..is rusty on front, and some bedroom nightstands are worn. The master bathtub has to be re-enameled or replaced because it has very visible deterioration of its coating. Shower door handle in 2nd bedroom is crooked and shower ledge near window in master is badly chipped and rotting. The worse was ants..and let me say I understand that ants can be a problem when you are on the beach but not in the shower. The shower faucets did not cover the openings (another bad look) and we had ants just streaming out of those openings by the dozens. I spent one day just drowning them with shower wand so family wouldn’t freak out. Vents in the bathroom ceilings were yellowed and need to be washed. Dining room table and master bath overhead light didn’t work nor did a couple of the heaters (which we needed because we had a very cold snap). All things said, our stay was good and I would stay at this location again but not this unit.

Incredible oasis

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is an incredible property and condo, ESPECIALLY if you have kids! The grounds have a ton of vegetation, enchanted little paths, bridges and ponds with fish and ducks and a heron. (Be sure to bring quarters as there is machine to buy fish/ duck food by the pond). The swimming pool is large and clean, and they have a family hot tub- in addition to an adults only one. The beach is large, clean and great for sandcastle making. All of this provides endless to-dos for little ones. The condo itself is clean and has all the things you need to cook basic items, as well as towels for the pool/ beach. There are ceiling fans in each room which helps to keep it cool and the patio sits right over a section of the man-made creek, so you get that amazing sound when sitting out there. The only cons are the building is old, and we had some heavy-footed neighbors above which you could hear well, and without AC it could become very warm in the summer months. We were good for the last week of September. Would recommend and we will be back!

Really great location! Family has been coming to Oceanside for many years. First time renting out this specific place, and was unfortunately shocked to see how dirty it was, given the reviews we read prior to booking.
