Hello! We are new to VRBO. We purchased this home in 2017 and have spent the last 18 months fully restoring it. This house is really special to us, and once you stay at Palmer House you'll understand why. We look forward to hosting you and hope our home allows you space to relax, reconnect with family or friends, or have a romantic weekend with the one you love.

This home is absolutely beautiful. It's spacious and roomy enough for families to gather comfortably, but intimate enough for a romantic getaway. Every inch of this house has been designed with love. We truly did try to think of what we would want in a "home away from home". We think you will find this space inviting and warm. Whether you want to have your morning coffee in the window seat or take a run on the walking trail on the bayou. This house has you covered.

Palmer house was built in 1950. We tried really hard to respect the home's age, without over modernizing it and stealing "her" character. The furniture was chosen to be reminiscent of a time when a home was about togetherness and comfort. From the positioning of the furniture to the games provided, every room is an opportunity to reconnect with yourself or each other. As you move to the kitchen, the huge island is a perfect spot to gather for family dinners or a romantic night. The kitchen is fully stocked and even has a window seat for you to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine at the end of the day. All of the bedrooms offer modern amenities from memory foam mattresses to HD flat panel TV's, with additional linen and pillows stored in each closet. All three full bathrooms offer a spa-like feel and were designed to evoke feelings of relaxation, intimacy, and peace.
