This is a waterfront home in a private area of other beach homes. Very quiet, the only work is relaxing and listen to the waves and birds.
The place is very serene, the beach is 20m down the garden. Security is good with a day and night team of professional guards. The daily breeze from the ocean keeps temps agreeable even in the warm season and brings fresh sea air into every room. Occasionally a fan might be needed which is provided. The house is designed for the breeze to reach every room, which makes it so relaxing compared to hotel rooms.

Very basic

Stayed only 1 night out of 14 (we arrived late at night, otherwise we would have left straight away). Mouldy food left in fridge. Kitchen not clean. Oven & hotplates did not work. No wifi. No aircon, but a noisy freestanding fan was available. No safe. One broken sunbed with stained mattress. We were shown emergency lights for when the electricity goes off, but these did not work. Outside area in need of a good sorting out. On the plus side, it is close to a beautiful beach.

THIS GUEST DID NOT COMMUNICATE ANYTHING; THEY JUST WENT TO A CHEAPER PLACE AS WE FOUND OUT. That happens and its always comical the alleged issues they come up with. The guests before them actually extended their stay. Ce la vie.

I m a semi-retired training advisor and got to know this place between assignment and was always drawn back to it. Its difficult to find something similar relaxing and convenient. Close to many conveniences and a big city, but still far away enough so you can completely forget about the crazy world out there.

Why they chose this property

Diani is touristy but you can switch it on and off as you like or need. No hi-rise hotels like in other tourist places and miles of beach are not easy to find. Nice locals and a welcoming atmosphere throughout. Its all part of this laid back place.
