Located in Germantown, this farm stay is in a rural area and in the mountains. Tousey Winery and Whitecliff Vineyard are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Village Books and Dutchess County Fairgrounds. Stoddard Corner and Northern Dutchess Botanical Gardens are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with nearby fishing, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking, mountain biking and cycling.
The Farmette is a working flower farm owned by event producers and caterers. We love rustic modern spaces and enjoy decorating with unique items we find in our travels.
During your stay, guests are invited to enjoy 4 acres of the farmette and seasonally blooming flower corrals with various seasonal plantings, and exclusive use of the farmhouse, pool (End of May through End of September weather depending), and hot tub (year round - when outdoor temps are above 30 degrees). We will be on the Farmette tending to plantings and maintaining the grounds as needed - occasionally staying in the Airstream as needed (no access to house needed).
The house is 200+ years old, and full of quirks and charms. Everything has been painted a fresh white, and redecorating is under way (a life long process!)
Farmette is a wonderful place to relax with your family while being surrounded by trees and nature. Since we allow pets, if you have severe allergies to pet hair this may not be the right rental for you. Even though we clean thoroughly, there may be a remaining dog hair.
Please understand that the more guests that book in one group, the more wear and tear and upkeep there is on our home. Discounts are not available due to these factors. Early check in or late check out may not always be available due to scheduling. Thanks for your understanding and we hope you’ll book with us.

We loved the decor and style of the house and of course the beautiful grounds and gardens. Pool was lovely and hosts were extremely generous, making us feel comfortable in their home.
The owners are caterers, and very generous with what they share so the kitchen and home very well equipped. Leisah was quick to respond to every question or concern we had. It’s a beautiful old house, every room is very cozy. We hope to come back :)
Had a special girls weekend at Farmette, and everything was beyond perfect. Leisah and Monica have thought of every detail, and the beauty they have cultivated at the farm is just endless. We loved meeting the goldens (Bear & Blaze) and Bear brought us special pinecones that he found! Also saw some awesome wildlife! Such a special place, we will ABSOLUTELY be back.
This place was perfect for my family of six. The house had multiple fireplaces, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make dinners. We used the fire pit and had fun walking around the property. We would come back in the summer when the pool would be open. The owners were very easy to communicate with and it was all-around a great first experience with VRBO.
Farmette Roquette is a charming 1700’s farm house with contemporary furnishings on a beautiful flower farm. There’s a large outdoor pool, a comfortable screened in porch with hot tub and plenty of other space both indoors and outdoors. The grounds are fun to walk and admire the beautiful Dahlias and other summer blooming flowers.
We had a short but great stay!
This house was perfect for our week vacation escape with our kids. We had friends come to visit and the pool was perfect for all to enjoy. We had everything we needed, the house was clean, huge, well decorated, and so comfortable. Leisah provided a special touch with fresh cut flowers which was so nice. Thank you for providing this space for our family to add new memories to...... this old house, amazing!
My sons and I had a great time. The house is really cozy and tastefully decorated. Our dog loved running around in the fields. We were there during a heat wave so the pool was a treat. Close to Rhinebeck, Hudson, Kingston and Red Hook.
We had a lovely long weekend here! Pool was fantastic, and room decor was beautiful. Property was lovely, and we walked around the old barn before sitting down for s’mores. For TV, bring your HDMI converter for your phone. It’s an old home but well-maintained. Enjoy!
The interiors are well done, just the right blend of old and new and tastefully decorated. Each of the bedrooms has comfortable beds. The bathrooms a little vintage funky but completely functional. The living room is easy to entertain in and we enjoyed the kitchen and outdoor fire pit. Tall people be warned the ceilings are low throughout - typical of a 200+ year old property. one of our party members had to duck in the showers and doorways (6'2", the rest of us all under 5'7" were fine).
We were there while the exterior buildings were being painted, the paint color choices are fabulous and we hope they have plans to remove the vinyl siding on the house and treat it the same. The outbuildings are beautiful and make for a stunning setting. But this property is not a flower farm YET - pots staged around a broken down car is great for a photo shoot and there are a few troths of flowers and herbs but these do not equate with the description of a flower farm. The fields are all grass and there was nothing blooming in the middle of June besides the wild honeysuckle at the properties edge.
The pool is dated - think 1982 - and was cloudy from the day we arrived until the day we left, but it was lovely to sit out by the pool and cool off. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub being in the screened in porch - made for a very enjoyable bug free soak in a rustic porch setting. Located just off the main road, there is traffic noise but non-existent at night.
The smaller grill worked well (the larger didn't have a propane tank attached) and while not out and about enjoying the Hudson Valley, we enjoyed out time spent cooking in the very well appointed kitchen. We would recommend pot holders and dishtowels be added.
Because this property is the owners primary residence there are pages and pages of rules to follow while on the property. Most very helpful and allowing for a mutually enjoyable time to be spent at the Farmette - we are rule followers and appreciated the details immensely. We didn't have paper or pen with us so we'll take this opportunity to say that there was a cracked glass that shattered in our hands when we pulled it off the shelf.
Because it is their home there were Fedex deliveries to juggle and dog hair in the main bedroom that caused an allergy attack. Sadly, we left our sous vide machine on the property and our attempt to have it returned to us (we offered to pay for shipping) has been met with silence.
Highly recommend - great spot.
