House is very clean and in a great location for dune access. Lots of space to park and we could've brought our 37 foot 5th wheel and larger side by side trailer and had plenty of parking. Owner/property manager was great to work with. Will definitely stay here again.
We've been staying at the dune house for several years. Over the years many upgrades have been done. Every year is a super great time we spend as a family.
This was our 4th time staying at this house on the dunes and we had a wonderful time as always! The house had been updated with new carpet and deep-cleaned since the last time we were there so it was all nice and fresh. It is so nice to be able to just hop on our toys and head out to the sand without the hassle of trailering. Plus, we were able to bring our dogs down with us which is a big deal. We always hate to leave them at home with a sitter! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere to come relax and play on the dunes.
Always enjoy our time at the house. Great location for duning .Watched movies since the Netflix was not hooking up and Tv channels weak. More trips planned this year.
Carrie was great. She worked with us on an early check in and also adding an RV stay. Location is perfect for access to the dunes. We already Booked our return trip in the spring.
We stayed here for the direct access to the dunes. No need to load up the toys and haul them to the day use area. Ride right from the house into the dunes in a couple of minutes. The house was clean and Secure. Check in and out was a breeze. We will definitely stay here again.
Words can not express the gratefulness of having such a wonderful place to stay: simple, quiet, lots of room, felt like we were at home. We are coming back again. Thank you.
This is such a comfy cozy cute place!! It truly felt like a home away from home. Carrie had the house stocked with EVERYTHING that you could possibly need for your getaway. The bed was super comfy. The outside was green and lush and private. The neighborhood was beautiful and having the dunes right there was so great!!! We had the best time and we will definitely be back!!! Carrie thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!!!

Comfy, quiet
This was such a pleasant little home to stay in. With this being our third trip to Coos Bay for our daughters school event, we were really looking for better option than a hotel. This was a very pleasant discovery for us! Not only was the house comfy, clean and in a quiet ares. It is also such a short jont to get onto the dunes. So this ended up being a scouting trip as well for our next visit which will include our bikes! Thank you Merv and Charlotte for being such wonderful hosts and so easy to communicate with. We will def be staying again!
Host mom had to come in and take water sample, why when there’s 6 hours of maids cleaning prior to arrival. Then comes back and wants to see garage 🤷♀️. Beds are old and horrible, the bunkbed is ready to crash on you. I’ve tried communicating with host about my pet deposit refund and haven’t gotten anywhere.

You get what you pay for
This place is ok. The location is awesome . You can not beat the dunes access for dirt bikes and quads . It has a storage garage and a good BBQ. The house/cabin is dry and warm . And has everything you will need . How ever it is obvious that it is a pet friendly rental place . The bedding had more dog hair on it than I would have liked , but I travel with a sleeping bag so I just used that. And there was lots of bedding available if I wanted to change out the bed so it was not really a problem for us. Also if you are a wine drinker and don't like drinking your wine out of a water glass you should bring a few glasses along . We could not find any in the place. All this said it was a great weekend and if Merv will have us we will be back . Oh one more thing the wifi and cell phones work great in this location.

Overall, a good stay, IMO needs some improvement in a few areas.
Pros:
Good location and access to the dunes, a great big lot, nice big TV, a nice couch and recliners, a garage for the ATV's was nice, good size house equipped with all your basic needs, and more.
Cons:
The main gate was a pain opening and swinging it open, the garage door had an aluminum piece hanging from it when opened and I smacked my head with it, like the previous tenant said the house smelled like mold, especially by the windows, beds were small and the main bedroom had an uneven floor and you can feel it when in the bed, I didn't like the location of the security camera and it was pointed into the house and it felt as if I was being watched the entire time, the day before the checkout the landscaping crew came while I was trying to get some rest for the journey back home and they were walking right by the windows and slide door and I was uncomfortable and left a day early (funny, I noticed the yard was not maintained when we got there). The owners never came by to say hi but that may be a common thing.

Perfect Place for Dune Get-Away!
Two couples stayed here for three nights. We loved the house!! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked (spices, coffee pot, dishes, lots of utensils, etc.) and the dune access was Amazing. We had the pleasure of meeting Merv & Charlotte (the property owners) and they were ever so friendly - offering if we needed anything to let them know. We also loved that we could bring our dogs with us, which made it feel even more like home. When we come back, we will definitely be staying here again! For the price of this rental, we don't see how anyone could be disappointed - a diamond in the rough, for sure!! If we were to offer one tiny suggestion, it might be to hang a curtain from the queen bedroom to the hallway entry where the bathroom is. At night while sleeping, we think it would offer a bit of privacy between the two bedrooms that share the bathroom, but it surely wasn't a deal breaker for us. Plenty of UTV/ATV parking. Picnic Table, Indoor and Outdoor Games, BBQ and much more. Another plus, is that all four of us took showers back-to-back and no cold water issues - everyone got a nice hot shower! Lots of shopping and eating in Coos Bay too! Thanks for sharing your home with us!! Until next time . . . . . . .
