The stunning and iconic Champs-Elysées area is an affluent and popular neighborhood in the very heart of Paris, running from the Arc de Triomphe down the famous boulevard to the Place de la Concorde, and south down to the River Seine. Home to the extremely private and well-guarded residence of the French President, this area is known for its sophistication, prestige and many landmarks. Visit the Théâtre des Champs Elysées for an evening of theatrical entertainment in one of the city’s most iconic performance spaces, or take a dive into the wild world of The Crazy Horse, the cabaret club that has entertained everyone from John F. Kennedy and Marlene Dietrich to Jay-Z and Rihanna in its history. For museums and culture, The Petit Palais houses a fine arts museum while the Grand Palais has a science museum and regularly hosts events and exhibitions. Also, at the eastern end of the boulevard sits the Jardins des Champs-Elysées.

In terms of finding somewhere to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat, the Champs-Elysées area will not disappoint. Al Ajami is a well regarded Lebanese restaurant that serves middle eastern dishes in a friendly atmosphere. For a hearty meal if you’re hungry, try Maison Burger which serves up some of the best comfort food in the 8th Arrondissement. At the more expensive end of the scale is Fouquet’s; a lavish traditional brasserie that often hosts film stars and politicians, serving coffee and cocktails as well as a full menu of classic French fare. For an evening drink, The Perishing Hall is very popular with its cool atmosphere and trendy open patio. Meanwhile, Chez Régine is the place to go for wine, beer or cocktails with top DJs supplying the music. As well as being a hotspot for sightseeing tourists and a great place to find restaurants and bars, the area is well known for its high-end shops, including Dior, Louis Vuitton, and the iconic Parisian perfumery, Guerlain.
