Homestake Condos are one of Vail's best values! Located 1.5 miles to Vail Village and ski lifts via Vail's free bus system that runs every 20-30 minutes (or a 12-minute walk to Lionshead in street shoes). Studio plus loft condos allow extra living space; free WIFI; free uncovered parking.

This studio suite features 550 square feet of living space; one queen and one twin bed; full kitchen; nice mountain views. Ski all day and return to the condo and relive the EPIC day in Vail. For stays of 1,2,3,4,5 nights a checkout cleaning fee of $140 will be added to the cost of any reservation. If you stay 6 nights or more, the checkout clean is waived. This residence does not have air conditioning.

Property Manager will send a separate invoice for Room and Tax to be filled out and sent to them.

Not sure what you mean by not convenient to amenities? It is about 50 yards from the free Town of Vail bus route, that runs every 20 minutes and brings you to the Village. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

The location had everything we needed. My adult son lives in Vail and the extra bed made it easy for him to stay a couple of nights. Good location, close to the bus routes that made it convenient to go anywhere.

Best Price Available in the Area

This is a cost effective, no frills spot. If you’re looking for a base camp for skiing/place to lay your head, this is a good option. Walk to the bus, heater and hot water work great. Property management were nice and accommodating. We had a great time and wouldn’t have been able to make it happen if it weren’t for the reasonable rate.

Did you notify my manager in Vail on the kitchen items that were missing? He will get you any items that you need. It is one flight down to the unit. Not really a lot of stairs. Maybe you will give it another chance.

5 star location, 2 star interior

Great location but the condo was dirty and felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Very musty smelling when we walked in. Dust everywhere, dirty carpets with pet hair on them, scratchy sheets, old towels. Floors were falling apart and there was a huge hole in the floor that was just covered up by a plank. Had to go buy different bedding, rugs, and towels which we left there so hopefully that makes it better for the next guest staying there. Also, no pull out sofa.

Sorry you fell this way on the cleanliness of the unit. No pets are allowed at any time in our units. The floor was opened up for a building water leak, and still needs to be repaired. The HOA had to open it up. All of our linens come from a linen service company, have not had this complaint before.

Great Location directly on bus route

Great little studio. Very comfortable for three. Only complaint is that the thermostat would not adjust temp. Was very hot most nights and had to open the window. The management staff is great. Always communicated back right away.

Decent stay

Overall, this property was in a convenient location and had the necessities with a good price for the area. I appreciate that we were able to check in at a time convenient to us. We did struggle to locate the property. The address we were given on Vrbo was different from after booking and Google maps did not lead us to the right place. Also, the space could be improved with some minor changes (trash can was broken, hand soap was not provided, sheets were stained & not very comfortable, pillows were very cheap, couch seemed old and worn out/stained etc.) Again, overall it provided a good, warm place to stay and the shuttle was an 8 min walk away with Vail being close. I think with some improvements, this listing could be great.

We give you WRITTEN directions to follow at check in. We also tell you to try Google Maps, but FOLLOW the written directions. Did you alert my in town property manager to any of your concerns? We remedy them write away.

Solid little condo in Vail

This was a great condo for the price. We just had a few friends here for a five day trip and really enjoyed the condo. The folks in the office were nice, the location was a short walk away from the bus stop, and the place was warm and clean. We cooked breakfast and dinners in the very well-stocked kitchen and had no problems with any of the appliances. I would definitely stay here again or recommend it to a friend. I would say the only draw back is you have to walk down a steep (though heated) driveway to get down to the main road, it can be treacherous in ski boots.
