Fall asleep to the sound of the waves rolling onto the beach… Wake up to sparkling ocean sunrises… have your morning coffee or tea on one of our three oceanside decks. What a way to start your day! Whatever your beach pleasure, we’ve set the stage for a restorative ocean getaway at our home, the Pleasant View.

The house sleeps 8 comfortably, with 1 king and 1 queen on the second floor and 4 twins (not bunks) on the third floor loft. There’s enough bathroom space for everyone with 2 half baths and a 3/4 bath with a 5' custom-built marble shower with 2 shower heads.

We go through extensive efforts to assure that the Pleasant View feels like home, cleaning it top to bottom every time with a phenomenal housekeeping crew. Our team is paid a living wage and is the same crew who has been caring for my own family for years. Other amenities include: a fully equipped and fully applianced kitchen, washer/dryer, air conditioner, gas grill, linens and bath towels, beach chairs, oceanside dining, a kitchen welcome kit and hand soaps at all sinks.

And let’s mention one more of our favorite things, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO LAUNDRY BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Have the whole family bag their own bedding and towels and be on your way! At the Pleasant View, the departure procedure is so simple; we want to maximize your vacation time spent together on the beach, not on chores.

So what will you do first? Step down from the lower deck onto the beach and walk for hours collecting 'beach treasures'? See what you can find in the tide pools at low tide? Bring your gear and fish from the shore for striped sea bass? Being this close to the water is such a guilty pleasure. Have fun planning! And if any questions come up, give us a message. FALL-WINTERTIME REMINDER: For the months of October through May, the beach stairs may be removed due to Atlantic weather conditions, but private beach access remains.

Very Impressive Property and Location

This is a very impressive property. The check-in process was flawless, the facility was very clean with all of the amenities we needed and the location was incredible. One of the best trips yet.

Perfect Getaway

You can't ask for a better house to stay at with friends. There's plenty of space for sleeping and the walk out deck to the beach was such a treat. We hope to stay here again next year!

Home Away From Home

We found this place to be perfect for our seaside getaway at the end of August. The first floor is a wide open kitchen-dining-living area that allowed us to be together for preparing and sharing the daily meals. It also has full laundry and a half bath for added convenience. The second floor has two large bedrooms and a beautiful full bath, which was all we needed for our party of 2 couples. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed as far as pots, pan, plates, cups, glassware, etc., etc. and had a large refrigerator along with a separate beverage/wine cooler. There is a grocery store only a few minutes away so we shopped almost daily based on what we wanted for the next day or two. The property manager Lynn was on site for our arrival and was available at a moment’s notice although we fortunately did not have any emergencies that required her attention. It was quite hot during our first few days and the window A/C units kept it very comfortable throughout the entire home. We were a little concerned with the houses being so close together that noise and commotion might be an issue. It definitely was not. Everyone was very neighborly and it was a very peaceful, quiet spot at all times of the day and night. All in all a great spot to get away, relax, and unwind with all of the comforts of home.

A perfect gathering place for family and friends - you will not want to leave!

The Pleasant View accommodated our party of 7 people (2 families) for 7 nights perfectly. The primary bedroom with all of the windows and balcony overlooking the beach is very spacious and the early morning light streaming in is perfect for early risers. The second bedroom is smaller but still comfortable, and with the window open, you can hear the ocean. The open third floor with 4 twin beds and half bath is perfect for older teenagers/young adults - it was nice for them to have their own space where they could stay up late and sleep in without anyone else coming and going through that space. The beds are all comfortable. Plenty of closet space. The washer and dryer were very useful to have. We loved the large, open concept living area on the main floor - you can cook, visit with everyone else, and have views of the ocean and the sounds of the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with more than enough cookware and utensils, plenty of plates and glassware, and tons of flatware. Lots of space for food storage if you want to have breakfasts and lunches in. We ended up cooking several dinners in and getting take out because the view from the dining table on the balcony was better than any restaurant. It is nice and shady around dinner time and it was such a pleasure to spend the evening there. The two half baths plus the one full bath was plenty for the 7 of us. The house was very clean when we arrived, and the propety manager, Lynn, was very helpful with check in. She checked in with us a few times during the course of our stay and immediately answered any texts I sent, providing recommendations for restaurants, shops, things to do, etc. She recommended a fishing charter which the kids loved. We had a very nice conversation when she stopped in to check on us - she is very warm and accommodating. We would happily return to this property without hesitation.

A message from Jim, the owner:
My wife, Pat, and I grew up on the beach. Every summer our families made their pilgrimage to White Horse Beach -- mine since I was 15 years old, and Pat since she was 6 months old. In 1998, our childhood dream of permanent “WHB” living was realized. We bought the Pleasant View and lived in it year round for a number of years. We then found ourselves with a booming family photography studio in New Hampshire with a peak season in the summertime. Sadly, with the success of the business, the cottage fell empty during the best beaching time. White Horse Beach is such a special place. It was a shame for the cottage to be empty and not be enjoyed, and was at that time when Pat and I decided to open the Pleasant View to guests. If we couldn’t use it, then at least we could share our home with those who share our passion for the beach.

A message from Lynn, the manager:
Jim is my White Horse Beach next door neighbor and all-around great guy, always ready to lend a hand. In August 2019, Pat passed away from an aggressive form of cancer. Since I own and manage the large, 5-star rental property next to his, I told Jim to give me a call if he needed any advice with managing seasonal rentals on Vrbo. And here I am.

I'm a hospital pharmacist and I l-o-v-e beach house hosting -- orchestrating opportunities for fun-filled memories! And did we mention how cool and unique White Horse Beach is? Together, Jim and I aim to provide a seamless vacation experience. I live within a mile of the beach home, readily accessible to provide support to you and your guests during the stay.
